Xasthur is a black metal band formed by Malefic in Alhambra, California in 1995. The band became a one-man project in 1999 and is currently signed to Hydra Head Records, who released the band's most recent album, Subliminal Genocide, in 2006. "Malefic" is Scott Conner, born Aug. 20, 1973 in Santa Barbara, California.
