I checked out the EP Odyssey first and I remember not really liking it that much. I was not that impressed by it. Then I decided to check out Nija this year since it got high reviews on the Metal Archives. It is way better than Odyssey. I'll have to check out the other full-length albums.

Also got a shirt and the 2 CD collection of Nija/Shaman EP with unreleased material, live stuff on the Seek and Strike merch site. Excited to hear it.

Orbit Culture just signed with Century Media Records. I'm not sure how I feel about this, they're going to get more coverage for sure.. I don't know whether this will affect the band's music. At the very least I hope the band doesn't fall victim to the fame. I wonder if they're going to do a new album soon...

Won't hurt the band. No doubt putting out that EP after the album last year was to hurry up and get outta their old contract. Century Media is a great home for these guys, big things to come.

Yeah I don't know what good labels are out there but I do hope Orbit Culture will continue to do well.

Wow a new EP. They've basically posted about this for the last week or so, needless to say another great effort I wasn't expecting. The rate they're releasing new stuff and now getting mainstream attention from Robb Flynn and touring with Fear Factory, they got plenty of material for new fans.

Wow, that's awesome but not surprising considering the more recent albums have been Groove Metal oriented. Hopefully Orbit Culture will gain more popularity due to Robb as these guys are just amazing taking melodic death metal to a new level.

There's something about this album that feels significantly worse than Nija but I can't put my finger on it. I think it's the production. Everything sounds so smushed together and they drown each other out. I also think the riffs and grooves are just better on Nija. But the album isn't bad, likely won't crack my rotation much.

@JPence14 Decent is a great album but he is right in the sense the production fell compared to Nija. You're able to hear everything better including the riffing. Descent seemed a bit rushed in comparison.

I don't listen to metal like I used to. After 10 years it's boring for me. But these guys... They're amazing.

It's not Rasen, but only very rarely does any album reach the lofty heights that masterpiece reached. Nija is very good! Can't complain. It's fresh, it is very different from a lot of what you are getting out of metal these days, while still invoking the the clear Metallica/Gojira vibes but with some Dimmu vibes as well. Enjoying this release very much!

Nija is one of their best album so far. So much of feels, Brutality, violence and crushing melodies all around. Niklas is a true legend!
