Gave Level 3 multiple chances and still cant get into it. Im really disapointed since I loved Level 2. What would you guys say your favorite Level 3 tunes are?

I dunno, I love Level 3 far more than Level 2. It's such a album you listen to chill for.

Unfortunately, Level 3 couldn't create that weird-beautiful atmosphere I loved about Level 2. Still digging Rebirth, though.

I guess i'm more or less indifferent about his production work (Nocturne and Astrodama are pretty underwhelming production wise though.) I don't think he produced Level 3 but correct me if i'm wrong. The quirky counter-vocal harmonies in response to the main melodies in the instrumentals on Level 2 are kind of a love or hate thing though, I can understand that for sure. Call me crazy if you want, but I get more mathcore elements slightly more than proggy elements on Level 2 and 1 which gives it a more discordant feel/dissonant feel to them; at least in comparison to Level 3 which I guess might be what you don't like much perhaps?

xVictimOfADownx: Yeah, I guess so. I usually don't have a problem with proggy music, but I hate Jamie King's production work, and if he did Level 3 he's improved a lot, but I generally despise all the things he produces, not musically but production-wise, so that also made it harder for me to listen to Level 2, but it was also all those weird, quirky vocal melodies that just made it hard to listen to...

It's more of a happy medium between Level 2 and 1 and more accessible so that makes sense. Anyway, Level 3 is definitely a grower i'm liking it more and more but I still prefer Level 2.

I actually thought that Level 3 was waaay better than Level 2. It's not that I dislike Level 2, I just can't listen to it, it just sounds so... I don't know. I don't like the vocal melodies and maybe it was just a tad bit too progressive to get my full attention, the new album is way better. Both more memorable and melodic imo.

Some songs are kinda 'meh', but there are definitely some amazing tracks on Level 3.

Album isn't bad, just peaks above average (6/10) in my opinion but Level 2 has a superiority when listened to both releases back to back, this one sounds restrained at times but still some solid work to be unearthed in many of the tracks.

I'm digging Level 3. Maybe not as memorable as Level 2, but still a great album in its own right. [3] Can see this being a grower though, just disappointing they aren't as silly as they used to be since that's what made them so special for me.

After one listen, it's not grabbing me like Level 2 did, but I suspect it's going to take repeat listens.

Level 3 comes out August 6th. Michael Lessard is going to be the official vocalist of both The Contortionist and Last Chance to Reason. The Contortionist will be his first priority and Last Chance to Reason will be a ''whenever'' kinda thing. Both good and bad I guess. Love him in the Contortionist but I wanted to see LCTR live soon. Oh well.

Talked to Michael at The Contortionist show in Indy and he said that Last Chance to Reason is going to be on the Slaughter Survivors tour. The only other band he mentioned to be on it is Intervals but FUCK YES!
