tbh this album was really on the vanguard of the late-2000s/early-2010s indie sound (MGMT, Phoenix's stuff around that time, even Two Door Cinema Club)

Revisiting this album for the first time in probably 10 years, and there is a lot I missed first time round, most notably the Talking Heads influence on some of the songs. In fact each song is just a monument in its own right. Superb!

Not really. Get Innocuous! doesn't sound like Time To Get Away and North American Scum doesn't sound like Someone Great..I go on but what's the point.
