One of my favourite power metal bands 🤘🏻

Interesting how I first became aware of HammerFall. I viewed an ad in Thrasher (skateboard magazine) and it was an ad that was advertising their album Renegade. I thought it was super odd that they had an ad in there since I expected skate punk music (that's how I found out about Millencolin who are also Swedish like HammerFall, but skate punk, however that's another story for another time) to be advertising in that magazine. Thanks to that ad, I bought the Renegade CD back then.

This shit is so corny, like half their songs hit most of lyrical cliches like "fire desire", and "devastation nation"

True metal band, saw them live and they rocked.

I wasn't ready for being to able to hear such a difference in the songs on the 20th Anniversary Crimson Thunder. It sounds amazingly clean.

These guys are clearly gifted musicians but damn they make some cheesy and laughably terrible shit. Turn the tempo up and play Painkiller type shit instead of this mid-paced crap with shit choruses.

Excellent power metal band! I only have Renegade on CD, but I will be listening to other albums via Spotify!

Thinking the new album could be the best since Chapter V! (An underappreciated album that I like a lot.) The speedier stuff like Brotherhood, No Mercy and Too Old to Die Young sounds really good this time! There's even hint of that Swedish old school sound in there, like there was in the debut album. The 90s In Flames style.

The fire burns forever!

I don't see what's so bad in it. If anything, I heard some revitalized joy in it. The first two songs are great; I love the melodies and double guitar solos and in Never Forgive, Never Forget. After those two melodic songs there are a few pretty decent teutonic ones, which make me think this more like a heavy metal album than power metal album. This is also the most boring part of the album, especially at (We Make) Sweden Rock, which clearly is a cheap tribute song to a metal festival, but apart from that, not bad. After that it gets better again. For some reason Cans' vocals are consistently very good again as well. I don't know what happened, but he has found the easiness back into his voice in recent years. Definitely a decent album from them, surprisingly good even at this point of their career. Better than a few previous albums, not to mention Infected. They do classic HammerFall parody pretty well still, even if they are no way near the same that made Glory to the Brave once.

Sorry but I find Dominion to be their weakest effort so far, the second half is considerably much better than the first though, I start to enjoy the album from Scars of a Generation onwards

I enjoy this album because it is not a bad album. it is a "good" album from a great band. it is hard to create something new . the albums many of you have quoted are obviously amazing, but for those time they were stunning. now you think (because the band is still here) all the new ones are boring. If this album was released by newmetalnordicbandxyz probably you ll say "wow amazing, but..they look like.." typical metaller attitude. never happy, always angry with the world

Добротный, качественный хэви/пауэр. Удивительно, что мамина элита и в этом рупоре умудрилась извергнуть из себя своё очень важное мнение. Просто смехотворно видеть, как люди, у которых в чартах по тысяче прослушиваний Гражданской Обороны, Оксимирона или какого-нибудь поносного никому не нужного блэк метала пытаются уязвить группу или её слушателей.

Built To Last very strong record

Everyone has an elitist period in their life and so did I. I refused to listen to this band and some others because they were not kVlt enough or something like that. With age comes the reason and ability to enjoy bands you would not even want to hear of as a teenage idiot. Thankfully, I realised elitism is stupid and elitists are morons and I regret not listening to some bands before, Hammerfall included.
