来自英国伦敦的新军Erland & The Carnival 强势来袭，近几个月的演出已经排满且跑遍了整个英国。仅仅发行了几支单曲的乐队，为何具有如此人气效果？原因有二，第一，音乐确实好的没话说。二，虽然是个新乐队名字，但组成这支乐队的成员却都是音乐界中的名人。Erland & The Carnival 由三名正式成员 吉他手Simon Tong，主唱Erland Cooper和鼓手David Nock组成，还有三名录音和LIVE成员就是负责合成器的Andy Bruce，贝斯Danny Wheeler和Georgia Sands。可以说是一支6人乐队。一看到Simon Tong的名字，我就心血澎湃。因为The Verve，因为Blur，因为The Shining，因为The Good, the Bad & the Queen，最后还有后摇乐队Transmission，Simon Tong在5个不同的时期去了5个不同的乐队，现在他终于组建了一支由自己来做主导的乐队Erland & The Carnival 。说到乐队名字，是来自Jackson C Frank 的一首歌“My Name is Carnival ”，而Erland & The Carnival 最后也录制一首自己风格版本的“My Name is Carnival ”收录到他们的首张同名专辑《Erland & The Carnival 》。Erland & The Carnival 的签约厂牌是Simon Tong和著名Youth一起创建的厂牌Butterfly Recordings。今天推荐的除了俩支单曲，“Was You Ever See”和“Trouble In Mind”外，还有4首未收录到正式专辑中的B面歌曲，像“Arabian Sea”和“You Have Loved Enough” 在我看来都是具有大牌之风的B面单曲，完全有资质可以一起收录到正式专辑中去。这点也说明了，1月25号即将发行的正式专辑《Erland & The Carnival》更加的迷人，期待！
