Across Boundaries

ElectroO2 is an electronic pop band girl duo. The idea for the word 'O2' (oxygen) in the band name came from the very fact that both band members love music. Just like how oxygen is a necessity of life, they hope their music would be able to inspire and give some musical sustenance to listeners.

The first half of ElectroO2 is Cheryl from Singapore, a vocalist who has majored in film scoring and electronic production and design at Berklee College of Music. The other half of ElectroO2 is Betsy from Taiwan, a drummer who has studied arranging at Berklee College of Music. As fellow songwriters, lyricists and arrangers, their distinctive personalities and influences thus created a diverse set of music specially written for this album "Across Boundaries"..

About the EP <Across Boundaries>

"We were once traveling in the subways of NYC and noticed some graffiti on the subway tunnels as we entered. And as the train moved off, the still images became a beautiful animation in that instance. This special memory came to mind when I listen to the songs by ElectroO2, with songs that paint a colorful picture of life…

In this modern city, one is constantly wandering around with unfamiliar feelings, searching for a close friendship or a connection.

However, listening to the music by singer/composer Cheryl Lee and drummer/composer Betsy Hsu, you can feel your soul warming up with their songs. It brings such warmth against our occasional cold, modern world. It is like having sweet tea with whisky in the middle of the night. The music will keep you company as your mind travels."
