Am surprised the Mandarin track is actually good, hope the rest of the Mandarin album maintains the standard.

hah, i'd like to say "囍帖街" is talking about 釘子戶. These people are forced to move from their old places and sufferin some nostalgia. currently im appealing to 賴床.

I never knew that 囍帖街 could be looked at two ways. I didn't know there is a real street that the song is talking about. I always thought they were references made as analogy to a love that was lost. Now that I knew the other meaning of the song after listening again, I think it's really profound! Thanks for pointing it out kevincrumbs.

@katiekatieyay: For me, and I'd say many others, the key to 囍帖街 are the excellent lyrics, which can be read as a typical breakup song along with a second meaning that can be applied to the rapid changing of Hong Kong. The title of the album 囍帖街 is off of, "Binary", was selected as everything on the album can be seen in two ways and 囍帖街 is no exception to this. The title of the song itself refers to Lee Tung Street, which was taken over by the government for yet more unnecessary "urban redevelopment" against the wishes of the people. I respectfully disagree with your assessment of 囍帖街. It is, in my opinion, one of the best HK pop songs in years.

I loved Ksus2....and found her newer albums quite mediocre. I don't understand how '囍帖街' was voted as one of the top songs of 2008. It was honestly quite bland....
