A haven. A Bush Brigadoon.
Music, nature, nonsense, humanity at its most wonderful, wild times, excursions, incursions, retrospections, a retreat, a Rare Treat, a rare feat, a rare bird, Things Rarely Heard, music, nature, nonsense, wild times, etc, etc, all staged in a purpose built Underground Wonderland specifically designed for housing The Very Best of Times on an annual end-of-year basis, all run smoothly with pride and affection…uh…that doesn’t even scratch the surface.
The things we do…The Meredith Gift, Sunset Strip, Ecoplex Cinema, Silence Wedge, SportsField, The Pink Flamingo, Inspiration Point, The Meredith Eye, Eric’s Terrace, CleanUp Songs, singalongs, Master Song’s Tai Chi, etc, etc…
…the things we don’t do – no commercial sponsors, no commercial signage, no market stalls (surely there are enough opportunities to shop?), no timetable clashes, nobody telling you where to camp, no curfew…etcetera, etcetera.
What Goes On at Meredith is up to you really. The festival is not just on-stage, it’s site-wide, there’s things going on all over at all hours.
New things will strike at Meredith. Some will stick. The whole thing continuously evolves, almost anything Goes and could keep on Going.
That’s how Meredith came to be anyway; it wasn’t designed for anything other than a party in the countryside for friends. That was 28 years ago. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
