The Frimchett Festival will be by far the biggest project to date for Mytchett Helps the Heroes. A three day music festival will be staged on the 30th & 31st July and the 1st August 2010 at Frimley Lodge Park.
FRIDAY 30TH JULY
Starting at 1730 with a festival opening ceremony which will include a procession through Mytchett to Frimley Lodge. Participants in this procession will include cadets, scouts, guides, local dance schools, and, it is hoped, to have a military musical band.
The procession will march to the concert arena where there will be an official opening ceremony with speeches from the Mayor of Surrey Heath and also representatives from the Help for Heroes charity.
The Musical entertainment will commence with the opening of the 750 capacity dance tent with up to 3 artist and also DJ's from local radio stations performing.
SATURDAY 31ST JULY
The Festival will open at 1200 with the 2 stages, dance tent and acoustic stage.
All beverage facilities will be open including the Carriages restaurant and the 4 Carriages satellite hot food, beverage & beer tents.
The main stage will commence performances at 1230. Confirmed artists performing on this day include:

SUNDAY 1ST AUGUST
The main stage will commence with the winning act from the Frimchett Festival band competition This will be followed by performances by the UK's leading tribute acts
including "ONE STEP BEHIND" (Madness) "THE STROLLING BONES"(Rolling Stones) and a sensational show by "ABBA MAGIC".
There will be live acts in the acoustic tent and the dance tent will be staging performances by leading DJ's from the top dance venues of Great Britain and live performance from "BUG BUG".
In addition there will be various activities being staged within the arena including a fun fair, digital games, art exhibitions, merchandise stalls, Carriages restaurant and
satellite food outlets, and various beer tent outlets.
