Pod pseudonimem We Will Fail kryje się polska artystka Aleksandra Grünholz tworząca muzykę elektroniczną w charakterystycznym skrupulatnym stylu. Jej twórczość, na pozór mroczna i ciężka, jest pełna ekstrawaganckich detali, które nadają utworom industrialną harmonię. W ramach koncertów na AAF We Will Fail zagra materiał z nowej płyty.

We Will Fail is the pseudonym of the Polish artist Aleksandra Grünholz, who creates electronic music in a characteristic, meticulous style. Her work, seemingly dark and heavy, is full of extravagant details that infuse the songs with industrial harmony. During AAF, We Will Fail will perform material from the new album.

Shygirl to londyńska autorka tekstów i DJka, silnie osadzona w odmętach estetyki klubowej. Współzałożycielka wytwórni NUXXE, z Segą Bodegą i Coucou Chloe. Jej podwójny singiel MSRYNNVR był nagraniem inicjującym działalność wytwórni w 2017. Zarówno jej nagrania, jak i występy na żywo, ukazują jej talent do znajdowania dźwięków definiujących twoje najbardziej udane wieczory i oddawania ci ich doprawionych sarkazmem i czarnym humorem. Shygirl is the London lyricist and DJ with a tone set clearly in the depths of the club. Co-founder of the NUXXE record label, with Sega Bodega and coucou chloe, her dual single MSRYNVR was the label’s inaugural release in 2017. Both her recordings and her live performance showcase her talent for finding sounds from all your favourite nights and giving them back to you doused in sarcasm and a dark-sided humour. It’s rude but you want more.

Lotic
Lotic to DJ i producent J’Kerian Morgan. Wychowani w Houston, w Teksasie studiowali kompozycję muzyki elektronicznej i saksofon na uniwersytecie, a następnie przenieśli się do Berlina w 2012, gdzie pomogli stworzyć słynny kolektyw Janus. W ostatnich latach Lotic stali się jednym z najbardziej oryginalnych głosów awangardowej sceny klubowej Berlina. Wydarzeniem, które pozwoliło im rozwinąć apokaliptyczny aliaż destrukcyjnych bitów i wypaczonej elektroniki eksperymentalnej, było wydanie w 2015 mini-albumu Heterocetera. Na festiwalu Avant Art usłyszymy muzykę z ich debiutanckiego albumu Power, wydanego w lipcu 2018 przez Tri Angle Records, którego punktem wyjścia jest poszukiwanie metod wyrażania i doświadczania władzy.

Lotic is DJ and producer J’Kerian Morgan. Raised in Houston, Texas, they studied electronic music composition and saxophone at university before moving to Berlin in 2012, where they helped form the city’s famed Janus collective. In recent years Lotic have evolved into one of Berlin’s most original voices of avantgarde club music. The event that allowed them to develop the apocalyptic alloy of destructive bits and warped experimental electronics was the release of the mini-album Heterocetera in 2015. At the Avant Art festival, we will hear music from the debut album Power, released in July 2018 by Tri Angle Records, whose starting point is the search for methods of expressing and experiencing power.

East Man jest nowym projektem angielskiego twórcy muzyki elektronicznej Anthony’ego Harta, poprzedzającym jego ostatnie muzyczne przedsięwzięcie jako Basic Rhythm. Jego wyjątkowe podejście do grime’u zakłada redukcję brzmienia do podstaw, wprowadzając równocześnie elementy dancehallu, drum&bass oraz techno, które zwiększają moc głosów raperów w utworach. Na AAF wystąpi z MC Saint P.

East Man is the new project of the English electronic music author Anthony Hart, preceding his last musical undertaking as Basic Rhythm. His unique approach to grime assumes the reduction of sound to the basics, introducing at the same time elements of dancehall, drum & bass and techno, which increase the power of rappers’ voices in the songs.

errorsmith
Berliński artysta Errorsmith jest poważaną postacią na niemieckiej scenie klubowej od połowy lat 90-tych. Poprzez własne wydawnictwa i współpracę w ramach MMM (z rezydentem Berghain, Fiedelem) i Smith n Hack (z Soundstream/Soundhack), Errorsmith bawi się granicami muzyki tanecznej, aby zmienić ją w bardziej otwartą w celu stworzenia nowych rytmicznych i dźwiękowych kształtów. Osadzony w muzyce klubowej, jego muzyka skłania się ku eksperymentom, przez co jest wyjątkowo intrygująca. Jego dj-skie miksy łączy wspólna filozofia, lekceważąca normy gatunkowe na rzecz skłaniającej do tańca, eklektycznej muzykalności. Jego współpraca nad 12” z Markiem Fellem za pośrednictwem wytwórni PAN była popularnym nagraniem w 2015, wymienionym na wielu rankingach podsumowujących rok, np. w magazynie The Wire i FACT mag. Po 20 lat na scenie, w 2017 roku nakładem PAN ukazał się długo oczekiwany album Superlative Fatigue.

Berlin’s Errorsmith has been a respected figure in Germany’s club scene since the mid ‘90s. Through his own releases and his collaborations as part of MMM (with Berghain resident Fiedel) and Smith n Hack (with Soundstream/Soundhack), Errorsmith plays with the boundaries of dance music genres for an openness leading to new rhythmic and sonic shapes. Rooted in the club, his music is crafted with an ear for experimentalism, making for some deliciously intriguing physicality. His DJ mixes share a similar philosophy, disregarding genre norms in favor of body-moving eclectic musicality. His collaborative 12” with Mark Fell via the PAN label was a popular release in 2015, listed in many end of year charts, e.g. in the Wire magazine and FACT mag. Some 20 years into his career, 2017 sees the release of the long awaited ‘Superlative Fatigue’ album on PAN.
