Paramore and Foster the People

Traffic wasn't terrible coming into the venue. Parking was pretty much hassle-free. Got to the security line and there was barely a line, which was nice. Once I was inside the venue, I went to the lawn, and sat down and waited for my friends. The opener, Soccer Mommy, performed promptly at 7 PM, so it was off to a nice start. I had never heard Soccer Mommy before, and I thought they did a great job. I loved their set, and I've been listening to them a lot on Spotify for the past week. Once my friends got there, we moved a little farther back on the lawn. After Soccer Mommy finished their set, we got some drinks and food. Of course everything was extremely over-priced. I would recommend eating somewhere else beforehand. When Foster the People came on about 15 minutes later, we moved closer to the front of the lawn and danced to the songs. Foster the People was great with a lot of energy. They played around 9 or 10 songs, and they played a lot of my favorites. After they left, there was about a 15 minute break before Paramore came on. At this point, the sun had set, and the atmosphere of the concert was great. I was super impressed with how fast the bands were coming on and how great their sets were. Paramore came out around 9, and their performance was fucking amazing. They played around 16 to 18 songs. They literally every single song that I wanted them to play, so I was entirely content. Hayley's voice is amazing live. They brought a fan up to sing Misery Business with them, and he did an awesome job. They had a little break about halfway through their set, and they came out about 5 minutes later and sang some acoustic songs, which was perfect for the mood of the night. They left the stage after performing about 15 songs, then people chanted for an encore, and they came back out and performed Caught in the Middle and Hard Times. I honestly have no idea how they performed for so long. I feel like they must have been exhausted. When they finished, we went to the merch tent, but I couldn't really justify spending $35 on a shirt. Looked at Foster the People's website the next day and found the same shirt for $10. Overall, I was incredibly impressed and I had a great time. 9.5/10 concert experience.
