The Carpenter Center, a partner of the Independent Television Service, will host six free screenings of ITVS documentary films through its Community Cinema project. We’ll offer guest speakers, information, resources and other programming designed to enrich your experience with each film. The films cover important social issues such as racism, homophobia, education, climate change, freedom of religion, and women’s rights.

Medora, Indiana is a once-booming community beset by a crippled economy and a dwindling population. This documentary follows the town’s down-but-not-out varsity basketball team over a season, capturing the players’ stories on and off the court—as the team’s struggle to compete parallels the town’s fight for survival.
