Pasolini Festival (a.k.a. Joseph Gates, who later recorded & performed as Vargr Wulf) did a spastic solo performance with vocals (often spoken-word ramblings), a laptop computer, and noises. He flailed around and bounced off of people in the front of the "crowd" at one point.
Cambre & Capello was an instrumental free-jazz / rock duo consisting of Rob Cambre on Fender Jazzmaster guitar and Dave Cappello doing experimental, moody, violent drumming (including a hubcap, which he would occassionally pick up and then drop as a noisemaker). They seemed to be playing improvised music.
Xiu Xiu were having van trouble and almost didn't make it. They performed as a duo of Jamie Stewart (vocals, keyboards, guitar) and his multi-instrumentalist cousin Caralee McElroy. They apparently did mostly songs from their recently-released album Fabulous Muscles, but they also performed "I Broke Up (SJ)."
