We’re back at XOYO on Thursday 26th April with a programme exploring extreme instrumental sounds from the 1960s alongside contemporary electronica:
Penderecki’s ‘Threnody’ (an experiment in sound composition for 52 solo strings)
Gyorgy Ligeti’s ‘Lux Aeterna’ for 16 singers (featured in Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey)
‘Peaux’ from Pleaides by Iannis Xenakis (scored for six players and 44 drums)
Alex Smoke – 2 hour DJ set
+ DJ sets from Clean Bandit, Nwando, and Nonclassical founder Gabriel Prokofiev.
