Sthlm Thrashfest 2010 will be held at the respectable venue of Nalen 8 May at Regeringsgatan 74 in central Stockholm. The event will once more be arranged by the artists themselves but this year there will be two seperate bars to make your stay even better, and instead of four bands, there will be a total lineup of six acts all hailing from - or just outside Stockholm.
The event was started as a means to get semi-established Stockholm bands playing Death/Thrash/Black metal together onto a better stage than they normally are allowed access to in the capitol of Sweden. Bands that play great venues, festivals etc outside Stockholm and Sweden but are forced to take weekday-slots at smaller clubs due to the musical climate and general attidute in Stockholm towards heavier music.
So when You buy a ticket or just pop up at the door, You can be sure than none of the money ends up in some promoters or arrangers pocket. The bands are doing this for themselves and for You. How else could You possibly see 6 great acts at such a low ticket price? Supporting Sthlm Thrashfest and visiting the event is equal to supporting hard working honest brutal music of Stockholm. Sthlm Thrashfest was first held at Nalen 30 May 2009 and it is the brainchild of Marcus H (Sterbhaus/Elvira Madigan etc) who together with Erik (Scarpoint), Jocke (Clawfinger, FAL) and all the bands participating in each years particular event work for a better climate for the better music of Stockholm.
