Hope Factory is another example of a band that deserved a lot more recognition then it received - at least we can pat ourselves on the back here. // I'm not going to celebrate your good taste by listening to some of Black Watch!

Love the show, esp your Thursdays-- I finally converted after about 25 years of being annoyed by Henry Santoro. What was I thinking? You've converted me to The Secret History, among other things. Are you an Elbow fan? Most underplayed band of the past 10 yrs, IMO.

Thanks for the Pure Horsehair tip - DL'd the album from emusic and liking it much. The first track reminds me a little of Eitzel's Cane 141 collaboration.

It's the only immediate track, maybe, but the others warm up after a while. I was sold on it by that wintery album cover, making me want to listen to it in front of the fire drinking chocolate. I'm a marketing man's dream.
