They usually hit DC which is 3 hours north, so I miss a lot of shows that way :/ but i'm stoked on the Explosions in the Sky, Bassnectar, and Beirut shows that I have coming up soon. and yeah, Toro is just one guy haha.

so i refuse to listen to that record just yet, because the quality is too distracting to me, but from what i heard of it it'll make my top 10 for this year easily.

i didn't know it was possible to not listen to wavves before king of the beach haha. is your username a cartel reference by chance? if so then it all makes sense. but yeah, no, i like that you seem to know what you're talking about; there isn't many instances where i can truly say i like noise unless i'm listening to my bloody valentine or sleigh bells. i've not heard of cloud nothings before. what's their album called? i'll give it a chance on the strength of your seemingly awesome taste ;)

i'm partial to "green eyes" right now. i know it seems cheesy but the whole "my own friends hate my guts, so what, who gives a fuck" is the story of my life right now. i think there's tons of unnecessary backlash at wavves for the "clean" sound on this new record, but honestly, if you compare his old sound with his new, there's really no comparison. all that "noise for noise sake" shit on his old songs gets tiring real quick.
