Hmmm, maybe you should try listening to the Black Angels, if you like The Velvet Underground. Maybe a bit of a rip off, but good quality anyway. And thanks for the tip btw. And for something completely different (if you want to discover more of my extensive musical taste :-p) try Cocteau Twins (Heaven or Las Vegas) and Esbjorn Svensson Trio (Seven Days of Falling).

A lot! Some of my favourite directors are Lynch, Haneke (!), Kubrick and Ingmar Bergman, and I've seen Zerkalo a while ago, which was also quite an experience.
