I've seen your comment about the "indie"-tag at Sleaford Mods' shoutbox. Maybe the one who did it used "indie" in its classical meaning (see "[group]when indie was INDIE[/group]") and not in the sense it's used today (as a term describing "music for wimps").

No man. You shouldn't let that bother you. People are always quick to kiss ass and shower praise when they would be much more helpful to an artist expressing honest opinion instead. I remember several years ago in that very same shout box when I wrote something along the lines of "I miss the time when he used to make music with beats" or some such. For me his early net-releases, 12s and CDRs on Quietus are still the best work he has produced.

I agree with your assessment of bvdub's work of the last few years (ie since he moved away from beat driven netlabel or vinyl releases). I also love 16 horsepower still even though nowadays I no longer listen to "bands" and primarily listen to techno/house etc. Sending friend request your way though maybe you have something against that as last.fm tells me you have no one on your friends list.
