So, the thing is musical education, then. Cool. I mean to experience some another feelings from another kind of music. Yet a year ago I couldn't imagine that I might love... dark folk, for example. But now I actually do as I've tried that genre once. Same with drone doom or trip-hop, and many more. So, good luck in "educating your own concepts of music". And yeah, GFD is exceptional, might be considered as classic even somewhere in 2050. A unique eclectic thing.

Simplicity often wins, you're right, but when the style becomes too predictable within one genre, you know, it somewhat lacks musical captivation, it may become too obvious, it may seem really uncreative and I may quickly get bored. But when a band/artist can express itself in different (sub-)genres, while not losing their own style - being recognizable, but not predictable - that's what I really love. And that's why I have PT as my absolute top band - they never cease to amaze! A true example for eclecticism, though most of their songs are rather simple, must admit. And of course, as you say, it's all about the mood. Though I can't share your love to really predictable stuff, man, in any mood, as it acts like a spoiler somewhat.

Normal, I've so had some shitty stuff recently. It's cool to understand the difference, though.
