I probably get flamed for such a comment but I just love 'No I in Threesome', 'The Heinrich Maneuver', 'Who do you think' and so on. They totally do it for me and they are incredible melancholic in their very fast, strong beat, especially in terms of the bass. Wonderful. Oh and yeah of course The National. Well, one of the guys once said in an interview, that all The National are really die-hard fans, much like a cult. Haha, I think I have to agree on that. I saw them this august in Vienna and they were just amazing, really... astonishing. Matt went all crazy at the end of the concert, smashed his stuff and looked confused, and horrible drunken (just like expected). I actually got kinda afraid of him, but it was wonderful. Loved every song and I actually was astounded when they played a medley of 'Available' and 'Cardinal Song' (you know, the ending... girls forgive me, and so...). I would have never thought I'd hear Cardinal live, but soo thankfull. :) And yeah, I'm a cultist. :D

Oh dear, that's totally normal that you listen to music and someday just don't want it anymore. It's the same with me and Dredg. I was obsessed with them in younger years but one day, well, they just gave me nothing anymore and so I stopped listening to them. I couldn't even listen to their latest record whole, because I was... kinda annoyed. That's kinda naturally I guess. The best bands are those who manage to come to back. So far, only The National, Modest Mouse and Interpol truly did for me. And maybe Bloc Party and a few others, dunno know. Well, best Interpol album? I really could never get into Turn on the bright lights. Many of my friends that's their best record, but nah, I have to disagree with them. I really got into Interpol through Antics. Even now 'Slow Hands' from this Album is the one I constantly wish to play in my favourite pub. ;) So it really makes it from and I think Antics is a great way to start. But my favourite one is 'Our Love To Admire'.

it has to be super, you have 6k Listens of The National, not even I can compete to that. :) But tell me, how does it come to such a huge difference between number one and #2?

I was gonna ask "what's your favourite song by The National?" but seeing how many plays you have of them you probably couldn't pick one. Mine used to be "Daughters of the Soho Riots" because it's the one that made me fall in love with them, but then I think now it is Apartment Story. They're closely followed by England.

Since I heard Boxer somewhere in 2008, I was stunned right away. And indeed, So Far Around The Bend is awesome! It has a different feeling to it than other songs of them. Do you know where I can get those rare tracks that are on singles but not on albums or EPs? like Driver, Suprise Me.

I saw them recently at a festival near me, and it was spectacular. Latitude 2010, check on youtube if you can for some footage. The whole crowd were chanting, it was a magical atmosphere. Best thing i've ever seen. Oh and nice music :)
