That's actually where I got the picture from. I resized it and changed the contrast a bit so it would look better as a library picture.

And regarding the Oasis plays: in 2010 I used to have a lot of free time on my hands due to a disease, so I basically sat at home all day and listened to music to get myself through. Nowadays I wouldn't get near as much scrobbles.

It's hard finding a good quality photo of that one. This is the original poster: http://www.musiciscrap.com/giglists/gigs_2008/337_supergrass%20poster.jpg

hey dude if you dug guru's jazzmatazz, check out The RH Factor. Their album Hardgroove is great, but also get the other stuff. It's lead by trumpet player Roy Hargrove.

Low. I'm a new Low fan, too. I started from the beginning. I Could Live In Hope is great. Then Things We Lost in The Fire, which is just plain flawless. Fill in from there; I've yet to be disappointed.

i'd say to start with dilate or out of range to get a better feel of what she's about. little plastic castle is outstanding, but unique among her albums - the most radio-friendly for sure.

Re: Ani, I'm in the Little Plastic Castle boat as well. Early Ani is so much more accessible. The bootleg albums are also good for accessibility. But check out Revelling:Reckoning for her perfect folky/experimental blend, and Knuckle Down for a really mature album. Don't listen to Educated Guess until you're well and truly hooked- it was enough to put me off Ani for a long while.

RE:Ani. I agree with origamicreature, start with Little Plastic Castle. If you like the Funk-stuff Ani has done better than the more classic singer/songwriter stuff, go for the live record So much shouting, so much laughter. On the other hand: I never stumbled upon an Ani DiFranco record I didn't like. :)

Hi, you should definitely start with 'Little Plastic Castle', I think it's the best choice, it's the most easy-to-get-into ani album. You should also listen to 'Educated Guess' even though it's probably Ani's weakest according to critics and some fans, you will probably love its intimate atmosphere!. Have a good listening!

Re: Ani also! It's not a studio album, but the live album 'living in clip' is stunning. More recently, her last album Reprieve is brilliant, too.

Re: Ani - Hard to say what to start w/if you only know Evolve. I think Out of Range is her best, but that might be delving too far back for you. Not a Pretty Girl tends to be the general recommendation. However, Little Plastic Castle has the playfulness of Evolve, even if it's not her strongest.

They were wrong so we drowned is a lot more experimental than the other liar's stuff, but it's still totally awesome if you can handle it.
