I so did enjoy the performance. She played every song that I hoped she would! It was incredible to experience all of that appreciation for her art, in the flesh. Everyone on that stage exuded gratefulness, and I like to think their gratitude influenced the whole room. I swear I could feel our collective awe. I wonder if we saw eachother! I’m glad you enjoyed the show!

Utopia sounds like the garden of Eden... so fresh and alive... crazy to think we share the same planet as her!

23 found me! Definitely not the other way around. I've seen time be harsh to other people since my last birthday, while it remains kind to me. I cant complain. I'm healthy and able bodied. People are around me who continue to love me as I experience the final stages of "becoming" an adult. A few less people than this time last year. That's okay. I'm okay. 23 has been...okay. I'm only about halfway through 23 anyway, so what do I know?

Hmm. I’m very shy and the only karaoke songs I remember ever singing were Our Song by Taylor Swift at a festival held at my elementary school a decade or so ago, and The Way by Mac Miller and Ariana Grande at a bar a few too many drinks into celebrating my cousins 22nd birthday. I have shower fantasies about singing In Dreams by Sierra Ferrell at karaoke someday, only because I think my voice sings it well and I imagine the compliments I’d get LOL. I’m just not really a performer.

I do go to concerts! Before the lockdown I was at a local venue every weekend experiencing a different hardcore or metalcore band. It was awesome. I’ve been to a few concerts since then, only a few this year. When live events first started happening again, I didn’t really like them. The energy of the crowd was a lot different. The faces I would see at my local place didn’t come around anymore. Or they were very aged. It made me feel weird. But I’m starting to find appreciation for live music again. Recently I saw Trevor Hall perform, he’s a long time top artist of mine. I’ve also seen Billy Strings recently, and Alex G earlier in the year. Are you a concert enjoyer?

I meditated on how you became a person who tries out a whole bunch of shows, being a part of the scene, etc. Then I skipped over replying! I didn't live by many music venues ever (til Now?). So I don't even know what exploring your home's music scene looks like -- sounds cherishable! I've only been to a handful of basement shows or backyard acts for "local" music (i.e. you kinda know a mutual person or are near the town they're from). I went to a few orchestras, concerts, ballets, an opera, Beetles impersonators-- sparingly. I think I'm getting off topic now but only till recently have I deliberately attended concerts, only as encouraged by my friend. Starting with Ed Sheeran (lol), TV Girl (pre-pandemic)...Japanese Breakfast, Ricky Montgomery, Big Thief, Beach House, Tennis, Alex G, .. :^) I wouldn't trade those experiences for anything though I'm a shy attendee. So recently I've rlly only explores indie rock/pop/folk & music theatre / cabaret performances. But wow, every weekend,...
