How about you try looking up information on My Bloody Valentines album "Loveless". Look at how groundbreaking it is, and how innovative Kevin Shields guitar playing was at the time and even today... It has been considered the greatest album of all time by many. As for the other bands its pretty self explanatory. Explosions dominate the post-rock scene, Death Cab for Cutie were making music when Lil Wayne did nothing but scream "drop it like its hot" on "Back that Azz Up", Coldplay are obviously far more popular and creative... I could go on all day. This is coming from the guy who listens to Rick Ross nearly a thousand times and Peaches 300 times. Ugh...
