Oh, are you going to the White Lies gig in Brixton? I hadn't realised you like them. I think they're a bit 'let's copy other stuff we like'.

WTF?! You have a F44:876 track in the top 5 of your overall most played tracks?!

I will check out Howling Bells on that recommendation! Shall have a downloading spree when my iMac is back up and running. Back in Scab any time soon?

As with all TCTC albums and both Ghinzu albums, it took a while to grow, but now I think Mirror Mirror is bloody brilliant! Album of the year so far.

Hellope, how much do you use last.fm these days? Do you read messages often? I'm just getting back into it...

What do you make of the new Sigur Ros? I'm really not convinced. They've already done 'big' and 'pretty' and 'beautiful' - I wanted something a little new. And I prefer the darker stuff of (). A little disappointed.

Aye, they're tiny! What did you make of the Esthetic Education album? I think it's a real grower!

Can you up the Jacob's Stories first album sometime please? I can't find it. Ta!

Ah, I had no luck with those programs previously. Seems they've finally upgraded the actual last.fm player now, which is lovely!

ResidentWriter
No, but it had flickered across my radar. My last.fm now scrobbles my iPod plays - this excites me immensely!

Bits of the new Shortwave Set album are really nice. 'I Know' is bleeding gorgeous. New Notwist seems ok, although I'm still getting into it. New We Are Scientists is shite.

Damn! She already knows The Mariner's Revenge Song! That'll free up a bit of time. Hmm, this is a tough mix cd. Can't WAIT to hear the new Notwist & Shortwave Set albums I just downloaded...but I did miss free leech :(

That's what I concluded! I dropped Black Dollar Bills though. Debating whether to end on Radio Protector, or the final track from Annasthesia. Damn tough decision.

I'm making a mix cd for a girl. Is the Mariner's Revenge Song too long? Its just so tempting.

Yeah, the rest of the EMAP album is pretty samey, but St John's Night is bloody ace.

ResidentWriter
Barely. It's a bit more electronic/dancey than I was expecting. Just put it on the iPod for another listen.

Stoned () - I'd forgotten what a wonderful experience it was! () is a truly great album.

This intrigues me. A similar artist for Sebastien Schuller. Just ordered an album from Amazon for £2.50...bargain. Worth a try! http://www.last.fm/music/Avia/+videos/+1-H1wq9mwooSs

No, I haven't, but it's on my list of things to listen to. I gave Leaders of the Free World a go again this week - the first half is fantastic, but the rest is so forgettable. Shame.

I wonder if 65 will have any new material? I'm vaguely tempted to see Elbow at Rock City that month too. They'll have a new album to promote.

Who knows. But I have today concluded that The Destruction of...is a very underwhelming album.

DId you see the shout made just after yours on Sebastien Schuller's shoutbox? April 2008...can't bloody wait, I think I'm going to actually preorder it and wait for the real CD!

I know you already love ILYBICD - I just suddenly remembered how much I did too! Yes, I'll fire you over some Decibully soon. And while I do agree about Yndi Halda, I'm getting very jaded with post-rock right now. More heading towards indiepop, although I suspect winter will change that.

I've just sent you a load of recommendations. All from waffles or indietorrents. Let me know if you need anything uploaded if you can't find it. No gems, but some interesting ones along the way.

Yes, I'm ready for a good breakthrough too. Time to get downloading on Indietorrents I suggest. I listened to Lost Souls earlier - forgot how nice, but very samey it was.

What do you make of the new Sigur Ros? I realised after listening to this, and Takk, that much of my interest for them has disappeared. They're great, but just a bit...uninspiring now.

Televise is a great album. I just never think to listen to Calla. Here's the official OiNK memorial forum: http://www.ohax.com/phpBB2/index.php

65 plays of Sebastien Schuller? Crikey! It must have really clicked. What do you make of Calla?

Have you heard We Are Scientist's cover of Hoppipolla? Fair play to them for attempting it!
