Know a bit about Brissy in the '90s. Missed Expo and all that, though. She's really changed with all the high-rise going up along the river, hasn't she. Did the floods affect you this year?

Well I've been at it for about 18 months now. It's hard to tell progress though. I've written a draft lit review and a journal article that's currently in review. Depending on the experimental results, the direction of the research can change - which would change the content of the lit review for the thesis. Anyway, like you, I'm loving it. Your thesis sounds interesting, not that I have any knowledge in that area. The closest to that I got in uni was political theory - e.g. your Rawls/Nozick-type battles.

"Qualitative" huh? yeah sounds emotionally dissatisfying; political science sounds good though. What's the title of the thesis?

Wow that feels like a long time ago. Not done with uni yet; a PhD on neural innervation of the gastrointestinal tract has been keeping me occupied recently. Which masters course will you be taking>?

Good good...just passing by to check up on the music list, everything seems to be in order. How do you like the subscription; use the radio feature much?

I don't recall hearing 'The Year Is More Important', but then again I was embraced by a heightened spirituality, so who's to say? Work on a Saturday? Oh don't I know the feeling.

I’ve only heard the Deep Reduction album “2” featuring Rob Younger and its really good. The easiest comparison is with the New Christs – I’ve just been playing the two back to back and it’s pretty seamless. You can read about the album on this I-94 bar interview. There’s a whole 8 years of stuff that I’ve been missing out on since heading OS – what new stuff do you like?

Yeah that's a great tune but I don't have that Album anymore unfortunately - just the song on a live bootleg. I've put together a [group]Models[/group] group recently if you’re interested. Would also love to hear any music recommendations you might have.

Cheers mate. You are doing pretty well yourself if you can understand Kelly in that one. Great charts too.

It was a great song for me in 1984 and little has changed since then, vis a vis the theme song to that terrible all-star film, Cannonball Run and Smokey & The Bandit. I may have the Leyland Bros theme kicking around in here, too. No guilt is the key to pleasure, methinks.

Yes, I listen to my fair share of un-hip artistes of yore. Some of it is arse, but you can't help liking it. Will give you a Clowns report.

I love that Peter Sarstedt song. I bought a CD of his and realised that he really didn't do anything quite as endearing. Oh well.

Im sure there's something quite 'mockable' on there, just playing jazz compilations at the moment while i study...'saint germaine des pres cafe' i think

I think I like the Blackfeather version better...although I'd like to see it done at the slower pace like fraternity and the same nuances as the bon scott sings it

See you up front at ATP for Laughing Clowns? Isn't this the best thing ever? I know you're going to agree. I wish I could scrobble some Gordon Lightfoot - he's not all that bad, but I've only got him on LP.
