Agreed! The album lends me to believe she was free of [a vast majority of previous] restrictions/expectations. Even though I was antsy for the creation of Ellipse, I'm pleased she took her time; the end result of fearlessness pace resulted in a prodigious album. Oh, and on the subject of "Aha!" and "Rake it in," I'm glad she re-captured the dark elements of her sound; there are always two sides to every person.

"Aha!" Definitely reminds me of "Rake it In." Luckily, I adore both!

A lot of times I stumble upon these bands before pitchfork gets around to reviewing them. Then I'll compare how they rated them; other times, I'll check out their recommendations. It's funny how it works out in the end.

Very meanless task lol. Lynch never really wants to elaborate or explain anything as he seems to love people using their own interpretations and guessing for themselves which just adds to how much of a unique and brilliant director and artist that he is.

Lynch I believe mentioned in an interview that Twin Peaks and Lost Highway was set in same universe. Nice find with that DVD link. I'm still clinging on to hope that both seasons will be released in special box-set here.

I've seen Lost Highway twice, and is one of my favourite films ever. The bizarreness and confusion is what makes it so good. My theory is that Bill Pullman's character was wishing he was the young guy and it was kind of an alter-ego he had. Do you know the film was set in same universe as Twin Peaks?

I didn't have an MP3 player so could only take a CD walkman and had Prodigy's Music fo Gilted Generation and Gogol Bordello's Underdog World Strike. Perfect albums for dancing :)

Yep, crazy BUT very very cool! :) Got to meet some nice people also. They do one in Sheffield and Brighton at exact same time as well lol. I had a great time.

Working from home today. But went to a cool event called Mobile Clubbing in early evening which was much fun. About a hundred of us congregated to St Pauls Cathedral and just brought our music players and danced in public like it was a club. I didn't even drink, was muchly fun :)

Not seen Broken Flowers yet, but seeing as you've recommended it I'll certainly try and see that soon too. A friend told Inland Empire is even more bizarre than Mulholland Dr which sounds really appealing.

UK can be silly, but apparently US is worse when it comes to Lynch movies on DVD. Seems he's more popular with the European market (which doesn't fully surprise me). If I like Inland Empire I'll definitely be buying it.

Not watched Inland Empire as yet though very much want to! Will probably download it soon. Still can't believe they haven't released season 2 of Twin Peaks. I'm planning to eventually buy boxset of both seasons (whenever that will be released!).

Best Lynch movie? Tough call there my friend. Mine would be Mulhollad Drive, Lost Highway or Eraserhead. Twin Peaks is the best TV series ever made, that's what really got me into Lynch.
