Ah, that's a shame about ATP. I'm getting to see HS at the festival and in London on the 13th so very excited about that! Interviewing GBV?! That's amazing! One of my good friend's friends is dating Mitch Mitchell (the shortish guitarist with a lot of tattoos who smokes a lot). Supposedly I can get backstage passes for any GBV show I want which is amazing. Just hope I get a chance to see them soon. On a vaguely related note, I'm seeing Torche and Part Chimp tonight. Looking forward to hearing Torche's GBV covers (can't remember all three but one is 'Exit Flagger'),

Atlanta's fucking mint man. I recently lost my job so now isn't the best time for me but lack of money/a job aside in previous months I've enjoyed making friends here, going a ton of gigs (many of them free- two plays here do free shows on Mondays and Thursdays), riding my bike around and the gorgeous weather (which is starting to get slightly unbearable but there's a swimming pool in my apartment complex so I can't complain!). Do quite miss Newcastle but only really for my friends and one or two spots, the rest I can do without!

No worries, that's what it's there for, and yes, the Testors were pretty amazing. I was front and centre for that and they were definitely the best band of the weekend! The Oblivians also played but I wasn't very familiar with them (more of a Reigning Sound fan) so wasn't that bothered by their set. Check out GG King, they'd probably be right up your street. They're one of the best local bands (members of the Carbonas and a bunch of other local bands).

I've not really been feeling it. They were mint live when I saw them in January and I enjoyed the new songs then but I find the lp all a bit samey.

Oh man, so jealous you're seeing Dan Sartain soon! I moved from NCL to Atlanta a few months ago and still haven't seen him here despite Birmingham only being a few hours away!

i'm great thanks tommy. i've got a job with the wildlife trust in sheffield, which is pretty fantastic. how's it going for you? i think i probably will make the trip for constellations, it looks fab. i'll have to pester jim to kip on his sofa, but i'm sure he'll be wanting to go also.
