Yep. Loved it. I picked up Windhand, Wolvserpent and the Subrosa CDs. The Wolvserpent album also slays. I think it's better than the Perigea demo.

Greetings from Oregon. Random suggestion -- [artist]Aidan Baker[/artist]. You can find a plethora of his music at bandcamp. He also has a project called [artist]Nadja[/artist] (it looks like there are a couple scobbles in your library)-- but anywho can also be had at bandcamp. Happy listening!

You went on quite a Drudkh binge. I think you might find this a little interesting - http://rateyourmusic.com/list/sacredserenity/female_fronted_doom_stoner_sludge_and_occult_rock

Wow. That sounds awesome. Did they play a mix of old and new stuff? Also, have you heard this doom band called Warhorse? They play some of the heaviest music I've ever come across. Get their album "As Heaven Turns to Ash". Here's a song from the album - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqWV7Cctmbc

Nice, those are 2 awesome gigs to look forward to. Especially Swans. How was the Vegas trip? I went to Delhi for new years and met up with some friends from college who I hadn't met for a long time so that was fun. If the Wolvserpent demo was of that quality, I can't wait to hear what the album will sound like.

mmmm... probably for the best. I've got to head north that night for turkey day Eagle Twin was mind blowing! Hands down the most powerful two piece I have ever seen and they were two of the nicest guys from Salt Lake I've ever met. I saw them in Boston (they played Crow Hymn at my request) the following night and they plowed through some technical difficulties that would've stopped most bands in their tracks but they didn't even miss a beat. Earth had a great sound but I couldn't stand in a packed room watching them... so I stood at the bar. Cheers! great taste by the way

Yes!! They entered the studio yesterday to record the new album. I'm really eager to listen to it. Also, I don't know if I've told you before but have you checked out Aelter? It's the side project of Wolvserpent's guitarist and, in my opinion, is better than Wolvserpent. You can download it from their website.

Hey, are things completely back to normal? My internet at home has been down for the past 3 days so that was extremely annoying. Not that I'm comparing that to a hurricane blowing through where I live. The new Wolvserpent is amazing, isn't it?

Hi. I was wondering if the hurricane affected you at all but I see pretty recent plays. I'm sending you the Subrosa new song in a pm because the band doesn't exactly want it to be shared around too much before they actually release it.

Subrosa also played a song from their forthcoming album at the show which they also recorded. I'll send you a link to that once I get it.

Oh wow, that's pretty cool. I'm glad you liked Windhand. You should definitely check out Elder now. Oh, by the way, you can listen to a new Windhand song here - http://www.rue-morgue.com/extras/hymns-from-the-house-of-horror Can't wait for their new album.

Yeah, you should get that Windhand album soon. It was one of my better musical discoveries of last year for sure. Elder is one of the best stoner bands currently. They got picked to play at Roadburn this year which is a fairly big deal and I'm happy for them that they did because they really deserve the recognition. Get their album, Dead Roots Stirring. Their self-titled debut is pretty solid as well.

Does Acid Bath even perform live any more? Or did your friend just see Dax playing solo? This one is my favourite of Dax's live songs - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NijfMgejDLU . Incidentally, do you like any stoner metal?

That's a pity. Melvins are pretty great live. They're doing some crazy tour currently, playing 51 dates consecutively, one in each state, if I'm not mistaken. Nice to see Dax Riggs on your charts. I really love his vocals. Have you listened to his old band Acid Bath?

Awesome. How were the other bands? I've had Haarp in my last.fm recommendations for a while now but I haven't gotten around to giving them a listen. The Melvins are playing in New York some time soon, i think. Do you listen to them?

Yes, i like Down but not a whole lot. I prefer Crowbar to them, mainly because of the vocals. How is the new Down album, though?

Have you listened to [artist]Adrift For Days[/artist]? They're a good drone/doom band from Australia. This is one of the best songs i've listened to in some time - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVJzIb2pIGg

Well, being in NY, i'm still sure that you get a chance to watch way more gigs than i get here in India. The second day of Power of the Riff has a pretty neat line-up with Sun O))), Winter and Coffinworm. Out of curiosity, what do you study at school?

Speaking of Wolvserpent and Subrosa, they're both playing this fest together - https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fall-Into-Darkness-festival/141384714013 . I'd really like to go see it but obviously i can't.

Me too. I discovered Wolvserpent recently (in fact the Subrosa singer recommended them to me, ha) and i fell in love with the band.

Do you like that Subrosa album? I thought it was one of the best albums of 2011. I hadn't imagined that sludge would go so well with violins but they a really job of marrying the two.
