The reason why Metallica is most listened is because I had to re-import my CD's since iTunes had a problem and erased my music. I forget who the most listened to band was. It's actually been a little while since I last listened to a Metallica song.

i think you'd probably be best off starting with one of the more recent mountain goats such as "tallahassee", "the sunset tree" or "get lonely"... his earlier stuff is mostly solo and of very poor recording quality, but still full of incredible songs that you can work your way into later.
