Greetings Kevin! How have ya been faring so far this year? Here is my first recommendation for 2026, and my #1 most scrobbled song for these past 30 days: Ronnie Baker Brooks' Times Have Changed. The track features some world-class blues guitar reinforcing a meaningful message for these crazy times we are living in. Here is an excerpted verse, and a Spotify link for the track: The rich keep on getting richer; we can't feed our poor. The whole wide world is about to go to war, 'Cause Times have changed....... https://open.spotify.com/track/1asEw2nftED92wW9t6q2ao?si=0d1c812bb5e0454b

HiYa! Hope things are going well for You, and Sorry i didnt get back to Ya sooner. That link didn't play for me, but i was able to listen to Arrow from The Head and the Heart on Spoify, and thought it was solid. i have pretty much settled into a niche, as witnessed by my scrobbles this year, and not listening to as many new sounds.

Most of the songs, from newly discovered artists, that have risen quickly in my charts this year, could be categorized as "contemporay folk". Prime examples being tunes like Langhorne Slim's Changes, Ondara's Lebanon, and Jesse Welles' Red. So Arrow fits nicely into that niche. And now i owe ya a recommendastion. Stay tuned.....

Back when Last.fm allowed long "about me" sections, I went through my library, compiled a list of my 10 most-played tracks by decade and posted them. Here's that list from the 1890s to the 1910s... 1890s: Billy Golden - Turkey In The Straw Arthur Collins - Hello, Ma Baby Len Spencer & Vess Ossman - Hot Time In The Old Town Len Spencer - You've Been A Good Old Wagon Dan W. Quinn - The Band Played On 1900s: Scott Joplin - Maple Leaf Rag J.W. Myers - He's Me Pal Richard Jose - Silver Threads Among The Gold Bert Williams - Nobody Vess L. Ossman - Maple Leaf Rag 1910s: W.C. Handy - St. Louis Blues Prince's Band - St. Louis Blues Gene Greene - King Of The Bungaloos Heidelberg Quintet - Waiting For the Robert E. Lee Original Dixieland Jazz Band - Tiger Rag

Hello ! Thanks for your shout. I still love Mladic after this comment of five years ago. Since then had the chance, twice, to experience this song live. The crescendo and the emotional climax were even more intense than on the studio take. You also have a nice library, very versatile in terms of genres.

HiYa! The Mind Club was a local Sacramento band, that had a fairly large local following before they disbanded a few years back, and may well be the least played group ever on last.fm. They were masters of the acid jazz genre and well worth a listen if You are so moved. Please let me know what You think. Thanks https://www.last.fm/music/The+Mind+Club

A happy Labor Day to you too! These days when I click on your profile, it says: "Your compatibility with DZRTsurfer88 is Super. You both listen to Aretha Franklin, Ancient Astronauts and Steely Dan." There are a number of songs/artists, I've picked up from your library over the past few years, including "I Came Running" by the Ancient Astronauts and Television's "Elevation."

Thanks for sharing some of your recommended discoveries for 2019. i hadn't heard Midnite Cruiser in awhile but now have a newfound respect for this GREAT1, So much so that i placed it on a new playlist i have been putting together, and six plays later it is my #2 most played track over the past 7 Days! Will it pass Deacon Blues or Reelin' in the Years as my All-Time Steely Dan Favorite? Time will tell
