You like a lot of metal bands that I also like and Metro-ko was by far the superior microgenre. You're a cool guy even if you called me a faget

Well I thought the last 3 Avantasia albums were hit-or-miss. The new album is really good, except for the ballad. My copy finally arrived today, because I didn't want to pay for international shipping.

The band I'm listening to now, Pathfinder is also worth checking out. They sound kinda like a mixture of DragonForce if they were good, and Rhapsody Of Fire. Super intense, awesomely fast, shredtastic melodic power metal with plenty of keyboards.

Enjoying Revocation? They are pretty sweet. If you get a chance, you might want to check out Fogalord and Nautiluz. Fogalord is one of my favorite bands from 2012, and Nautiluz released my debut-album-of-the-year a few weeks ago. Can't go wrong with either one. Also if you like the cheesy end of power metal, check out Gloryhammer. They are completely ridiculous, but in a good way.

Only on the first album. They replaced Elisa Martin on the second album and have had a male vocalist since then. What style of power metal do you typically like best? I can probably give you more targeted recommendations from there.

I like them. They are similar to Rhapsody Of Fire in a lot of ways, but have a bit more emphasis on keyboards and a bit less on guitars compared to their Italian counterparts. If you like Dark Moor, get the first Fairyland album, Of Wars In Osyhria, because it features Elisa Martin (ex-Dark Moor, Hamka, ex-Dreamaker). She was only there for the first album though, so if you don't like Dark Moor (or her vocals), try their later albums, which are generally better written in my opinion.

I know. I've almost left it behind already, but I need to revisit their albums.
