Hello there, Curtis - yeah, it's been a while indeed. First busyness kept me from hanging out much at our original virtual meeting place, and then the viral infections didn't really inspire me to return. Well, it is good to have a new place to get a bit of an idea of what you're listening to and maybe get a few discoveries for myself out of it! Anyway, things are going well for me indeed, and I certainly hope the same is true for you.

It's going good, man. I work at our new store in Hillsborough, which is about a 25 minute walk from my house, so I've been walking to work every day for the last 3 months. It's been a good thing. Lots of issues that were causing me stress for the last couple years are, all of a sudden, not weighing as heavily on me anymore. I guess I've learned to roll with the punches a little better and I'm grateful for that.

Heh. Thanks, CB. It's kinda uncanny, isn't it? It came to me in a heat-induced fever dream, which is kinda what it feels like listening to both of those groups, really. Oh yeah, you should check out these guys, btw. http://www.myspace.com/caltropband My neighbor across the street plays bass for this band. Went to their CD release show in Chapel Hill last Friday and was promptly blown away. Also, the group that opened up for 'em, Curtains of Night http://www.myspace.com/thecurtainsofnight destroyed, as well. Of course, you can't go wrong with a female duo playing some fucking hardcore doom/sludge.

Thanks. That Flickr feed is awesome, isn't it? It's great to have a general repository for everyone's memories. As soon as I got home from Terrastock, my wife & I left for a vacation in Montreal (which explains my general lack of scrobbling right now), and MV&EE are playing here tonight. We bought tickets yesterday, so it'll be cool to have one last little taste of Terrastock before I go back to work on Monday.
