Hey, sorry for the late reply. I've been trying to enjoy as much of the warm weather we've had as possible. Yesterday it started to rain and it hasn't stopped since :( But, it got up to 27C on the weekend :D and I LOVED IT! :D It's been colder since then but it's finally beginning to feel like summer :) It hasn't snowed since the last time I mentioned it. It was kind of a freak thing, very unusual for this time of year. I'm not in school. I graduated a while back and was working until this past Christmas. Because of the economy, the company that I worked for had to down-size so they laid me and a few others off :( I'm not really sure what I'm going to do but I'm going to continue to look for work and am considering changing careers but am unsure what I would want to do :( C'est la vie. I hope that things are well with you and that you have time to enjoy yourself before you have to go back to school. I'm not exactly sure what foreign trade is, but I'm guessing it's business relations?

I'm glad to hear that you had a good holiday. Mine was great, thank you for asking :) You have another holiday already? I think we have about one every month :( Too bad about not being able to go to the beach but I'm happy to hear that you at least had a good time sailing. Just to correct myself before, apparently it is a tradition to have ham for Easter and NOT turkey. I was totally unaware that that was the tradition LOL :) Oh well, shows what I know. The Catholics have fish on Good Friday but I'm not really sure if too many others do that here. I don't think there is one predominant religion in Canada. It is quite a mix. My friends are all of mix of Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, agnostic, and atheist. So, it's hard to say one way or another what everyone does because religious holidays don't have the same meaning amongst everyone. I'm guessing that that would be similar in Brazil too.

Happy Easter :) Yeah, I had to look up what a brigadier is but it sounds delicious. I glad to hear that your birthday was fun. Mine is in July. The whole snow thing is only fun is you like winter sports or if you've never seen it before. The high school that I went to had a lot of students who came from China to study. It was always funny because those who'd never seen the snow were always playing in it and so happy....for the first month. After that, they hated the snow! LOL The novelty wears off. There are many here who eat fish for 'Good Friday'. I think only my mother likes fish so that's probably why we never eat it. It seems like it's finally getting warmer. It was about 18°C today. I ended up spending most of the day doing yard work :( Oh well, it had to be done. I hope you and your family have a happy Easter :D

Sorry, I was in such a hurry before that I missed that fact that you said that it rained. That sucks :( At least it was warm? Was it just rain or was there lightning? I don't like the rain but I like the lightning storms because the air smells so clean after the storm has passed. I believe it has to do with ozone produced by the lightning. I didn't know what you meant about the 'Brigadiers', but I did a search and found that it's a dessert. It sounds tasty :) I hope you've been able to spend your birthday with friends and family. Again, Happy Birthday :)

By the way, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! :D I'm glad to hear that you had good weather on your birthday. I don't think you would've been happy here. It snowed today! Unbelievable! It's spring time! >:| Hopefully it'll melt soon. Did you do anything special for your birthday? The whole turkey thing for Easter is probably a North American thing (or maybe just Canadian). Pretty much any holiday here we have turkey. I'm not really sure why. But I like it :) I've got to go. My brother and his girlfriend are waiting for me to finish. Later and happy birthday again! :)

Hi. I was wrong about the holiday. Most of Canada has the Friday (10/04) off. I always forget because when I was in school, we got both the Friday and the Monday off. That's the only part of going to school that I miss. LOL I'm jealous of the warm weather that you're getting. It looks like it will be about 5°C (at best) on 'Good Friday'. At least it isn't expected to rain. Yeah, there are many people who give chocolates for Easter. I don't really like sweets so it doesn't really effect me. We also have a tradition of eating a big turkey dinner. Do you do that too?

Yes, we celebrate Easter here (April 13). For most of Canada it's a 3 day weekend. Unfortunately, it isn't usually very warm this time of year and it tends to rain so it isn't beach weather. Usually it's around 10°C (+/- 5°C). We have 'Good Friday' on the Friday of Easter, although it isn't a holiday. Then we have 'Easter Sunday' and 'Easter Monday' which the latter is a holiday in most parts of the country.

I've seen pictures of Brazil and it looks very beautiful. I've never thought of it being cold there, ever. I guess that's probably the opposite of what people think of Canada. Most people thinks it's cold all year long. In fact, the summers in my area are very hot! We just get more extreme temperatures. Very cold winters and very hot summers. It sounds like a trip to the beach would be awesome. I hope you and your mom have a good time :D

I'm from Kitchener. It's about a 90 minute drive west of Toronto. I think your English is very good. I don't know any Portuguese or Spanish except how to ask for a beer (in Spanish) but I can't write anything. I know a little French, a little Mandarin and very little German. Does it get cold in Brazil during the winter? I'm really looking forward to the summer here.

I'm doing okay. I was just listening to some music and surfing the net. How are things in Brazil? It's been kind of rainy and cold the last few days but warm weather is (hopefully) going to be here soon (I can't wait). It looks like a lot of the music that you listen to is 90's alternative/rock. Other than Paolo Nutini and Athlete (who I've never heard of), I like all the bands in your 'Top Tracks'. I'm a BIG 'Goo Goo Dolls' fan.
