They only have one thing out. Its an EP titled Three Days Till Christmas. If you need help finding it let me know. Also, the band Shikari has some great stuff. I would grab their anthology. Hmh, maybe Iselia, but they're post-rock influenced, so they don't sound too much like CityCop. Les Doux is a band friends with them, got a somehow similar sound and a split with them coming out soon. I can't wait.

I feel you, man. It's tricky stuff. I adore the genre but I always feel myself at a loss--or just too shy--when it comes to giving recs. Though I must say CityCop and Audio Recording Club have been two acts that I've been enjoying as of late, not too twinkly. Not sure if they're ""emo"" enough, but I guess it's worth a shot, eh?

That is true, although I feel the black metal parts are pretty impressive as well. Try out Faustian Echoes, their new EP. With the exception of one 3 minutes ambient section and an acoustic outro, it's a straightforward black metal track. It's 21 minutes long, too!

The Mantle is everyone's favorite, and that's amazing. Ashes Against the Grain is also very popular but although I do think it's great, it's my least favorite. Pale Folklore has some pretty intense feels and the White is a mindblowing neofolk album. I would also recommend giving Marrow a few more spins. It didn't click with me until about halfway through the fourth time and now it's my favorite album of the decade.
