I think the problem I had yesterday listening to the album was I had an "emotional" moment and lost myself with the new album in the background. Ha! So it's a good soundtrack for angst if anything heh. I'm listening to it a lot more and it's deffo got that Antics vibe to me now. It's hooking me in further and easier than the last album. Memory Serves is brilliant though....just been chatting to Amy online about it and we both agree Same Town New Story is completely hypnotic. Yes to gigs. Yes to fun! Lemme know what shakes :) x

Interpolz. Got a listen in dude. Why do I seem to like the latter end of each of the songs off the new album? I reckon it will take me a few good listens to get into this. Your rating wasn't far off my initial thoughts. And what's all the hatred with the last 'pol album I see in a lot of reviews? Didn't think it was that bad....

The microcastle album set will go down as one of the best ever live performances. I'm packing for Copenhagen as I type - no rest for the wicked, got my day ticket for National at Roskilde. Am actually missing my bed now :( hope alls kool with you kiddo x

yeah ATP was pretty damn good - an exhausting weekend which I am still paying for here mentally. Chk Chk Chk !!! were brill as always and Thee Oh Sees had the best mosh pit vibe going. I heard conflicting reports about The Knife. Shame that. The National album hasn't grabbed me pretty much like the Deerhunter one, definitely more fave tracks on Trouble Will Find Me. I'm still stoked I'm going to Roskilde just for the day for National :)

Man, I was so disappointed with The Knife gig on Wednesday. I loved the Glee comment though, made me laugh. Best review I've heard of it, haha.

Yes, The Wire indeed. I took another gawp. I think I have given up on Deerhunter and gone back to Lotus Plaza. Excitingly enough, got a free ticket for Peaches tomorrow night. Should be interesting affair.

Saw that documentary trailer and begs the question about why his brother tour manager reminds me of some Zach Galifianakis goofball. Ha! Will be interesting! Lots of exciting albums this year. Eager to hear the new Deerhunter offering. Hope the sound is completely back to some psychedelic vibe.

Heard it from blog last night - yeah, a small lump in my throat did form from listening to that. Heh. Emotional stuff. Think it's the baritone voice that does it. I'm gutted I cannot make any of their shows this year, UK and Europe :(
