Since sunny days are approaching this edge of the world, I wondered what is happening up there. After a gaze at your page, I see that Telefon Tel Aviv is just doing the job... Hope to hear from you soon, comrade

Appreciate the heads-up regarding Sea Oleena. I quite enjoyed her music and it is a nice way to start my day, just like this morning. I am currently getting ready to do my induction for a very specific job and need some concentration... How was the Chili Festival?! Here we got summer on the way and rising temperatures. I do not think I will be out of the continent this summer, though there is a slight Japanese/Chinese/Korean adventure lurking around :). I also applied for a new degree and I find out at the end of January, which I am quite excited about and willing to do more than architecture... Besides that, few exquisite gigs are on the way and a nice way to enjoy summer (even though I am not a fan of it)... All in summary, all is well and on the good track, though I wish I could be overseas somewhere else... Greetings out of Shitnee

next few months, definitely by the end of the year. Recently it's been all about that in my family. I'll be sharing a room w/ my sister, but she's gone to Central and South America from November until February 2011. She mentioned something about moving away after that. Hopefully that happens, even though I love my sister very much... I've been frustrated at some of my friends lately and there's been a lot of controversy rising from it that shouldn't relate to me at all, though somehow I keep on getting mentioned and I hate that. Especially since I've cut my ties w/ James, which everyone thought would be impossible. Though friends show their true colours eventually and say things that you never thought would come out of their mouths. Besides that, I feel like I'm in high school and being harassed by concentrating on things (university, work, travelling, girlfriend, music, last.fm) more important than those... Anyhow, hope I didn't bore you and have fun enjoying the last days of summer

When concerning education, I am applying to transfer from architecture into political science, diplomacy or international relations. I've had it w/ architecture and I've lost my will to do it, as well my passion, though the love's still there. I hope to begin in March and finish it by 2014. That way I'll have many options to do exchange, travel, transfer universities. Recently I've been asked to tutor Serbian and Croatian in spare time, which is awesome since the pay's around 20 pounds an hour ($40). I also have an interview for Nokia and that should bring some cash and brighten up my future travel plans... Though it sucks to hear about your situation of not being able to come to Australia. That's kool since I got bunch of Bengali friends and one of them wants me to visit Bangladesh, thus we could figure something out. There are plenty of alternatives and options, surely we can find one... More info: my parents bought a place nearer to the city centre and I should be moving in the...

Still a stalemate. This country's going nowhere and I doubt the politicians would come to a conclusion. I keep on telling people they will vote again. For personal reasons, I don't believe in voting and plus I'm not registered, thus I can spend that time lighting a joint, sleeping in, etc... Heads up for the Chili Festival, seems like a change that the capital needs, a bit of spice into it. Surely that'll prompt other things to be staged and it's kinda a test for further bizarre events that they're scheming on... Unlike you, my gig season's kinda dry, except few upcoming shows until later in the year. I got accepted as a volunteer at Meredith Festival near Melbourne. Washed Out, Girls, the Field, the Fall, Dirty Three, etc are playing. Seems a nice event to visit and contribute to. There are few other festivals, I don't like writing about them. You can check them out in the shows I'm attending. Perhaps you'll get jealous of some (just kidding)...

On Saturday night Australians experienced a hung parliament for the first time since 1940. Quite an achievement and possibly a good revelation for the two dominating parties that it is time to work together other than against one another. Though this does not give me much hope and optimism as they will both look to gain more seats as possible to be able to enforce their policies rather than to work for the good of the nation... Time to experience the spring that is ahead and the sun on my skin, as well on my glasses (that go dark during daylight). Having few interviews lined up, some small happenings, travel plans, music digging and a cultural feast to my brain once in a while. Feel welcome to ask for recommendations or should I randomly pop some?! Cheers from the edge of the earth p.s. I am not friends w/ James anymore, personal differences

Things do not alter much in a capitalist country. Especially when one talks about a country as such on the edge of the planet. It is quite standard: university, better-half, friends, parents, employment, future opportunities, annoyance, frustration, drinking, 'Stone Age', sport, etc. They all go in a cycle at the moment. I truly wish that I was in Europe and out of this continent. Although I must admit the gigs were quite amazing, except Broken Social Scene, they quite sucked (must admit). There are some travel plans, though not quite certain. Some job prospects on the side. Perhaps changing my degree and/or major. Getting involved in more cultural happenings: theatre, ballet and operas. Been involved w/ the Sydney Opera House website lately and they have some intriguing events, though the international ones are crazy when regarding the price. Winter's going away (if one can call winter here) and spring's on its way. Looking forward to sunny days at the park, the beach, etc.

Just returned from School of Seven Bells and I must admit they have put on an amazing performance. At the beginning the EQs and IMOs of the vocals were quite shit, though they fixed it later on. The only remarks I have that they did not play 'Iamundernodisguise' and 'Prince of Peace,' though the music was conveyed in such an intimate manner. The Dreheza sisters were very subtle and crafty, whilst Benjamin kind of pissed me off w/ his tantrics and arrogant approaches. The drummer did well, but the stuffed up the loop station and he had to cope w/ that fault somehow. I recommend seeing them comrade, completely worth it... Saw Yeasayer on Wednesday, quite amazing, a nice follow-up performance (I saw them in 2008 and they blew my mind, more info to come in the next shout). I am seeing Jónsi (of Sigur Rós) on Monday, We Are Scientists and Ash on Tuesday, and Broken Social Scene on Wednesday. I got a tough schedule ahead of me :)... How are you?! What is new?!

Hola compadre, My condolences regarding the Antlers show. My story w/ them is quite different, though not that impressive and they played better than Cymbals Eat Guitars, even though their songs and presence are more lively. Also it was in Paris and a nice venue overall. Besides that, not much here, except that the semester is over, few Australian adventures await, as well the World Cup is on every day, thus making me sleep until very, very late and waking up at ridiculous hours. Job's fine, friends are fine, though just like you, I wish I was somewhere else and not here. I haven't been out much since I came back, mostly because of the crowd, the vibe and the lifestyle here in Shitnee. Though it is nice to hear you might head east, if you do, use the chance to visit us and as well I might head to China at the beginning of next year, it depends. Not much lined up here w/ gigs, some local acts and that is it, pretty dry at the moment. Enjoy the weekend and keep in touch

Hey compadre, I appreciate the message and I was kind of jealous since you got to check out the Irish capital. Besides that, I got nothing to boast about (except my girlfriend who is currently whining of how I am not so fond of her presence :P) since it is the end of semester and things are getting slightly thick w/ all the education-related events. Though w/ some good tunes, it is able to survive the upcoming 'winter'. On the other hand, not much is on the schedule, few local gigs, trip to Melbourne and the Hunter Valley (w/ my girlfriend), work, pot and amigos/amigas. That is all from me and Shitnee, hope Dublin treated you well. Cheers!

Hey comrade, How are things up that end of the world?! Nothing much has been happening here, just the same old anecdotes rotating and revolving around university, friends, the better-half (a.k.a. girlfriend) and family (still no work, that is kind of soothing). I have been listening to heaps of new stuff lately, yet everything kind of reminds me the good old Europe. I am thinking of heading to the Philippines, New Zealand or Melbourne during our 'winter' break, still unsure and have some plans regarding end of the year, perhaps the rest of the Old Continent or Latin America. That aside, I have seen you have been into Bear in Heaven. They are quite amazing, I truly do admire them and have been into them lately, as well plenty of other new goodness. One more thing, my friend is going to live in New York for about six months to a year maximum. I was wondering if you could give me Jess' e-mail or something, as well to see how she is going. All the best outta Shitnee, Nilo

Hey amigo, how are you doing?! Hopefully you have received my email from few days ago. Anyhow just wondering if I can still visit you in Belfast in the beginning of March. Check your email for details or if you got any more queries, more than welcome to intrude. All the best and surely you have ´mastered the banjo´. Greetings from Berlin

You're more than welcome to visit the southern continent whenever you feel like. Just say the word and you can crash at my place in Shitnee, also Melbourne's fine to check out. Besides that if you like the beach, then the northern part around Brisbane... I shall keep on indulging myself in the gig-goodness that gets presented in front of me

Most likely it'll happen from February 25 until March 5. I need to be in Shitnee before March 10 because of university and all those things... The Album Leaf, Why?, they sound pretty good and it'll be good to check them out live when you go there... I just found Voxtrot is having a free gig here in Madrid on Monday. I'll treat myself to it and as well, Apparat is DJing in Amsterdam the night before I depart for Hamburg
