if you're not a member at asiandvdclub, you should really consider registering. here's the 'shadows in the palace' [url=http://asiandvdclub.org/details.php?id=12915]link[/url]. the movie is really good, featuring strong and believable female characters and examining life behind the glitzy facade of the choson era.

i came to realize that aggressive and noisy music helps me concentrate. it's weird. i'm extremely busy these days, so i rarely get the chance to watch movies. the last ones i've seen were some ghibli animes, 'the girl who leapt through time' and some period films like 'shadows in the palace' and 'the king and the clown'.

and i rediscovered the naive political messages of atari teenage riot. their music still sounds powerful and destructive, but pretty dated as well.

i have that new atlas sound album on my hd, but i never bothered to give it a proper listen. i'm not that familiar with aaron martin, i only have his split with machinefabriek, which is pretty good. as for my own listening habits, i'm addicted to the dirty sexiness of the kills' new record. other than that i've been enjoying richard skelton's landings project

i think we need to exchange some music, we went from super to very high.

oh yeah, very much so. i have been familiar with worrytrain's output for quite a while, but the new record truly outshines all his previous releases.

i've seen eric khoo's 'be with me' and i was moved to tears. such a powerful movie. i meant to check out his 'mee pok man' for a while now. thank you very much for recommending roystan tan, i'm really interested in '15'. i'll try to get ahold of it. as for the music i've mentioned...i'd be happy to send you a PM containing some musical gems, if you're interested.

ah, and last but not least, yeah, indeed, i'll be in japan for the holidays, and i'm very much looking forward to it. :)

other great artists i've discovered recently are rameses III (bittersweet ambient melodies, sometimes reminiscent of polmo polpo's 'like hearts swelling'), nancy elizabeth (very talented folk musician) and i've finally learned to love belong, despite the obvious similarities to tim hecker and fennesz. hm, singaporean movies, what would you recommend?

what are you studying? good stuff you're listening to, especially to kill a petty borgeoisie, their album will definitely be in my 2007 list, such an amazingly eerie record. i haven't really heard of julia kent, though. apparently she's part of antony's johnsons. as for myself, i've been overwhelmed by richard skelton's releases on his own sustain label. you should get into that!

YES! I loved Last Life in the Universe I should check out more. I watched that because of Takashi Miike's cameo. He's my favorite the only person that can be wise, beautiful and dirty; at the same time. i was being nosey in your MySpace and saw the Me and You and Everyone We Know quote, what a great flick. Reccomends: Young Thugs 2, Bird People of China {Miike}, Dead Man's Shoes, Buffalo '66.

yeah. i've seen JSA, 3 Extremes, Oldboy, Sympathy for Mr Vengeance, and Sympathy for Lady Vengeance. What should i watch next??
