Yep, it's pretty cool! I must have listened to more Bob Dylan and Elliott Smith this year. Pumpkins too!

Oh for the love of everything listen to Smeared already :P I somehow completely missed your message! I've mostly just bought the electro-industrial-type stuff I love so much... catching up on other bands the singer from one of my favourites, Seabound, has contributed to. Check out Avalost, the vocal version, when you get a chance.

Thank you for approving my request. By the way, I think it's awesome that our musical compatibility bar on this site is currently low since we could possibly broaden each other's horizons musically here.

Smeared no contest. Love it more than the rest of their output put together. The more stripped-down, Beatlesy stuff isn't bad at all though.

But uh, I don't think she actually played herself, just some friends or her backing band or something. I heard OF her a few days ago.

Boy, you really like Soma apparently. Also I heard Damhnait Doyle for the first time a few days ago on http://www.humbleandfredradio.com

Weird, my reply seems to have not gone through. I was wondering what the significance of Honeyspider was. I'm really a more recent SP fan. Probably over-exposed in the 90s. I got the remasters for Christmas. I'm such a Billy Corgan fanboy nowadays though.

Heh oddly I saw Madrid open for M83. You listen to the new Smashing Pumpkins remasters? I especially love the Never Let Me Down cover on the Siamese Dream rarities disc.

I saw him once at the Rivoli which was a fantastic show. Introduced me to Madrid, the opener, who I thought were fantastic. Saw him again opening for Chapterhouse at Lee's, and it just didn't work as well in that crowd. Loved the new music though. I hope it makes it to an album soon.

In some ways that last Eels album is my favourite of the unofficial (official?) trilogy. A bit sunnier and wackier than End Times, which makes sense thematically.

Damn, where to start? Off the top of my head I would say: Nightswimming, Country Feedback, So. Central Rain (I'm Sorry), Half a World Away, and E-Bow the Letter. Guilty pleasure bonus: Strange Currencies.

Gregor Samsa is pretty nice, thanks again for the recommendation! It was nice chatting with you, too.

Admittedly I do sort of miss having it sometimes. Stuff I see and hear would be worth putting up but right now all I can think of is posting a list of license plate numbers and car descriptions of people who have cut me off in traffic.

Well, clearly either my taste in music is getting better or yours is getting worse.

Man we have no common ground when it comes to musical taste. ;) Miss you! Come eat street tacos in SLC. They taste much better than Canadian ones.

It was pretty much all I could have hoped for. Great setlist and his voice sounded great. I can pretty much die happy now.

Yeah, I did delete it. I was just bored with it more than anything. I didn't really think anybody would notice to be honest.
