I've just about given upon looking for new tracks but I've been enjoying listening to common/shared tracks from other people's libraries using http://beta.combofm.de generated codes. Your(/our) libraries have produced three hours or more of really interesting listening with very few repeats, so thanks. ~~~~~ lastfm://rql/bGlicmFyeTpzcGZpdHppbmdlciBhbmQgbGlicmFyeTpoZWFkZXk= ~~~~~~in the scrobbler or http://last.fm/listen/rql/bGlicmFyeTpzcGZpdHppbmdlciBhbmQgbGlicmFyeTpoZWFkZXk=

Hi, Scott :-) Well, I‘ve uploaded the album in the meanwhile, and here‘s the link: http://www.lastfm.de/music/Michael+Brückner/OR+MAKIF There are especially two tracks I thought of, "Diaspora" and "Golem", and maybe also "Sephirot", because they have that slight "modern classical" feeling to them. In lack of "the real thing" I used (rather simple) clarinet samples etc. there, still I guess the tracks manage to transport some atmosphere (well: I hope...). How I wish I had the chance to record similar music with real acoustic instruments. Well, anyway... The rest is more or less my usual ambient "routine", but of course You are invited to listen to them as well. You can find a few explanational lines in a shout below the album... Ah - and kind of relieving to read that "...Venus" is computer generated ;-) Do You happen to know "Tibetean Bells" by Henry Wolff & Nancy Hennings? What do You think of it? And most important: Peace - and have a great weekend - Michael -

Hi, Scott! Thank You very much for the tip, and congratulations to You're master‘s degree (I wish I had one - or at least any formal musical education...) :-) I downloaded the music, and enjoyed what I‘ve heard so far, especially the woodwind and the Mallet compositions. Oh, and is "Nightlife on Venus" electronic music, or did You achieve that sound with acoustic instruments (which would be amazing...)? Parts of Your compositions made me imagine You could enjoy some of the tracks from my album "Or Makif" (if You like to lend Your ear to an amateur...) I didn't upload it though, but will do soon. I‘ll send You a link then, if You like.. Peace, success + good wishes (and: composing for Handbells appears to ba a wonderful creative activity to my mind...) - Michael -

That was one of the most memorable (and not necessarily in a good way) weekends of my 8th grade year, when we recorded that CD. I've been in the SCA since before I was born, pretty much (my dad is Master Eirik). I know we're planning on a non-dance CD in the next two-ish years. Real life got in the way of our productivity :/

I'm glad you like my country :) It's curious that I visited Umbria for the first time this year, and I love that place!! You visited it before me :)) I also love USA. I visited my relatives in NY and New Jersey years ago. I remember I walked around with my nose up and my mouth open, watching those wonderful landscapes, everything seemed to me so big, it was great!! Then they moved to South Carolina and Florida, maybe next year I'll go for a visit. Hope so. Here, in Italy I love more my birthplace, Genova, than Milano where I live since 2004. In Genova there's the sea and lovely hills behind. You can go in les than an hour from sea level to mountains over 1000 meters :)) That's why I love my place, so full of nature!! Cheers

On song recommends, I had to ask how it's done. With the redesign, my info is now out of date. I suppose the way to do it now is to go to the album or song and use the "share" button. Then address a message to the group you'd like to share it with.
