wow... just realized I replied to your last message on my OWN shoutbox by mistake :P anyways here is what I wrote: Hey! Sorry I left so fast I was worried about catching the last train. I really enjoyed the concert, Yeasayer is pretty unique and great live and I enjoyed the first band as well. The concert got 4 stars in NOW! But ya it was really fun and thanks for inviting me!

I'm listening to Broken Social Scene. I'm liking it. Lots of funky instrumental goodness going on. I've also been listening to an Irish artist called Lisa Hannigan. I think you should give her a listen to. It wouldn't really be your cup of tea that much, but why not give it a shot if you're bored eh?

Aaahhhh. I have been lovin Daft Punk, especially since I saw them at Lollapalooza last year. It was mindblowing. And I have heard of ManMan, but only to the extent that I heard the name and thought it was quite odd. I'll be sure to check em out. So it looks like I am returning from Korea in about a month and a half. I had my final confrontation with my dictators today, so it's over. Tell me of any sweet concerts you see coming up in November! I can see live music again.

Well I am preparing to end the battle. This just isn't what I want now...and for so long. I think it'll be best cut short. My plan is to return home and get some sort of life rolling in the city for a bit...or a long time. I'm looking at short-term answers for now. I am glad you are listening to Grizzly Bear. There are a staple in my current life, and I'll be looking to see them live when I get home. And what is this 'dog' trend now?! Actually, what is with this animal trend? Grizzly Bear, Deerhunter, Deerhoof, Animal Collective, Wolf-everything.. Anyway, I'll be sure to check them out. And how are the comics going? I have failed to check them out lately..but I will actually take a peak just now since I am thinking of it...

Good man! It's really a good album. Have you ever heard of the Guillemots? I've been listening to them today. They're pretty funky. Some of their stuff is hit or miss, but it's mostly good. I'm listening to the Red album. Give 'em a shot. The Dodos though... i'm not wild about. Some songs are good... but I wasn't overly impressed. Sorry man. Thanks for the recommendation. Keep 'em coming though.

So I gave Fleet Foxes a listen to... I love it!!! Granted i'm finding it very difficult to listen to all of their stuff. I consistently find myself going straight back to listen to either Mykonos or English House but i'm trying. They remind me a lot of Grizzly Bear and daftlass below me is mighty good at recommending them for you. I prefer the album Yellow House, but i'd recommend tracks like 'Easier' and 'On a Neck, On a Spit' and perhaps 'Little Brother'. Starting to download Animal Collective and a bit of Cut Copy also. How're you keeping man anyway?

yesss i have also heard wonderful things about volunteering at hillside. i am wondering if i should volunteer next summer, it would be an awesome reunion with everything Guelph. do you listen to Grizzly Bear? but i mean...seriously listen to them. i have been obsessing over their Horn of Plenty album..but particularly the second disc with all the remixes. it's experimental rock HEAVEN.

Can you send me something on Cut Copy. My interweb time has severely been slashed as of late. Damn this whole 'job' thing. Still have to give Fleet Foxes a listen to, but if you're hunting for new stuff I'd recommend John Butler Trio.

we sure do have similar tastes, diggin your style. about black dice? their older shit is mostly hardcore noisy shit, then other stuffs just like experimental whatever. it's hard to say, some people don't get into black dice, but it's just noise, it doesn't have to fit any standard and it's usually better when it doesn't. at any rate, the album Broken Ear Record is pretty cool, and the album Load Blown too, listen to them as loud as you possibly can. also, check out The Books.

they are pretty rad, way funkier than i thought they would be! i have been listening to a fair bit of "no age" recently, they have an amazing album called "nouns". and also check out andy dixon's project called "secret mommy", it's ridiculously good and homely glitch electro stuff. http://www.myspace.com/secretmommymusic is the addy.

the microphones! so good! there's a really kind of funny review of a live show of theirs here: http://www.cokemachineglow.com/feature/2445/microphones speaking of band names that incorporate "phones" into their name, have you heard "the headphones"? it's pedro the lion's new project, now that they've broken up. check them out, they're really really good. kind of like a chronically depressed postal service.

Haha! Cheers. Yeah I was just listening to that one album (I still have to get another one!), and I still need to reply to that email from you! And yeah yeah with your excuses. Postcards from Italy is a good song, but I still maintain there's much better like La Banlieu, Gulag Orkestar and Nantes!

Savage dude. I was just moseying around and I found a bunch of people from Rokked. How are you keeping? I definitely recommend Beirut, especially if you've listened to Final Fantasy (as in Owen Pallett) and you like it, Beirut is extremely catchy. I'll definitely check out Do Make Say Think, in a bit though because I've just downloaded 8-10 albums over the last few days. But yeah... ah fuck it, i'll get it. What album would you recommend?
