I remember the Blow were supposed to be coming here supporting Electrelane, but Electrelane dropped out to go on tour with the Arcade Fire or something, so the Blow cancelled. I was annoyed =/

I know! She's fantastic. I did read American Virgin, but I had too many books per week so I had to cut back a few titles, so I'm waiting to finish the series in trades. I read up to issue..11 I think. I also really love Chyna Chugston's art. She does Blue Monday.

Ouch, that is expensive. Yeah, getting around here doesn't come cheap either.. public transportation is very inconsistent, traffic is horrible, and you must call a cab if you intend to hop in one. Most gigs I drive to are 30 miles away... therefore my gas tab is always of concern :-(

Getting stranded sux. I remember last summer in Mexico City we were partying at a bar til closing time and there was no way to get back home. No taxis or anything. We ended up walking aimlessly and drunk through residential streets and even got to hitch a few rides in cop cars.. seriously!

i don't like that i can't talk about music to my friends anymore ):

i don't even rec stuff to my friends anymore, because they'd hate what most of what i listen to now and i'm okay with that.

i went through my obscure~~ phase. it was short lived, given that everything i listened to wasn't really that great. it's getting harder and harder to find new music, that doesn't sound like something you've already heard. i love my vkei bands and idrc what people say although some of the fans are just as bad as some mcr fans you encounter.

lol getting cut off there. the rest of my comment went like this: some i've known about for years, some i've only known for a few months. the best thing about jrock is none of my friends listen to it. although the bands come with just as much wank.

oh, i gave up on trying to find new music a long time ago. i have no interest in listening to the msot super obscure band i can possibly find because they probably suck just as much as whoever is top of the billboard charts this week. besides i can't be doing with all the snobbery and elitism that comes along with those bands. plenty of the bands i listen to now, i've known about some for years, s

aw it's not a problem! i used to listen to them an awful lot but in the end most of what i listened to bored me so i'm clearing out my itunes and listening to something new for a change.

i'm okay. you do realise i haven't been there since early july, right? i forgot the place existed. i don't even listen to the horrors anymore.
