climbing walls are very seldom this year...belgium was famous for its black circuit..but it is getting less...now you got official telephone numbers where you can announce your neighbor or anyone you want, if you suspect him from doing so. and I think we will not be to old to adapt....but putting socks on while standing could be a problem someday :) nice pictures on your tumblr by the way..its all Madrid?..I hope you spend more time in Avila! ..I would be tremendously depressed...

yep..sharronvaneten is really one of my favorites in the past months...the cd 'epic' is worth a listen to :) for the moment business is going ok..enough work for me though: rebuilding an old farm house. happily people still find me. though working people emigration from eastern europe is getting a real problem...I mean they are allowed to work here, but manage to do so for less than half of the price, or in the black circuit. You have to be really well in your doing to keep having work. And being capable working in different fields..masoning and woodworking, welding and clay-finishing...if you know what I mean :) that will make a difference. But the working pressure being self employed is immense..and often I think that running out of a job would be a great turning point for changing this incredible lifestyle and start doing the things you really love to do...but dont get me wrong..I love my work :) without that it would be unbearable...

I would ask why selling..but it is obvious that economical situation in spain is disastrous, so I can imagine . but looking at the amount of views your house has gotten the last day, it will sell well, I suppose. hey...I just returned...and what a shame...I indeed got info of a spanish number calling, in fact I answered one call driving down the hoyamoros dirt road but the call was shut..as I did not know the number and totally forgot the possibility of you calling..I didn't call back...sorry...the day you called from bejar was at the moment that we left the place back for andalucia...we had a very good time running around the woods high up the mountains..what a beautiful place..La Dehesa...nice for climbing, but most of all for being around in a wonderful landscape..we had a nice time. So we must find another time to meet up...somewhere ...I would really love to. so now at least I can put the number of yours in my telephone ...we will be back in spain during wintertime..I hope..and than who knows what happens....

I think it s no problem to work with this fondue in order to accomplish the forms you have showed me on that website...but honestly..I think you need some experience with molded concrete to work with this special concrete... when you mix it at a 2to1ratio with portland cement in addition with sand, at a overall ratio of 400kg cement(the both) for 1m3 of concrete ( that means some 1800kg of silicate) it will stiffen up after 3-10 minutes!!! ok, you will not make 1m3 for your campfire sculpture....but using the same mixture ratio...you will suffer from multiple stress attacks while pouring and finishing the work of art :) normally, while pouring concrete you use molds that are from wood/plywood...while pouring sculptures in plaster molds..this will be very delicate..you must take precautions for the plaster don't suck out all the water of the concrete instantly.its a problem with normal concrete and will seriously increase with this fondue...also extra shrinkage will occur... have fun :)

well Mount eerie...this is a very appreciated listen...its on right now. sculpture time...until you have mentioning it, I have not heard about ciment fondue...a quick google brings on good information though. it seems to be a quick hardening kind of cement, which..applied as normal concrete...gives much faster and more strength to the concrete..especially for industrial use...but, because of its higher strength, I think this is indeed a good choice for molded sculptures...in my academic sculpture time I worked a lot with molded concrete...to create portraits, heads and other stuff..If I have known this fondue stuff in that days, it would have prevented me of some serious failures...but it is much fun to create clay originals..mold them in plaster and than pour with molded concrete. maybe you have seen my concrete-climbing website..I still mold and pour :) and as a matter of fact, I will definitely try this ciment fondue for my new projects..thanks :)

yes,that buying,restoring,selling thing might be a good idea, but right now not the most easy thing to do..to put it mildly...well, on the other hand...buying is a very good option now, and if you got the time to put in some big amount of work by yourself...it does not have to be a really expensive thing to do....so I don't know what Avila is all about...but tourism might work to get something back. But it needs some serious commitment, I guess...my spanish neighbour in Andalucia..has worked in construction, is unemployed now for more than two years....so he has the skills(kind of) and the time...but nevertheless he cannot get his ass up to work on his house to finish it, or the other ruinas he has got in the campo...he is just sitting there, talking about getting a job, but does not see the potential..maybe a spanish mentality thing..I don't know.he sees us working at our ruina carrying stones from the riverbed,digging tierra por la mezcla and shaking his head..but we'll get there :)

Avila...never been there, but in the summer I will go to Candelario,Salamanca..not so far away,I guess..I will go climbing at Hoya Moros...a climbing area high up in the mountains, with a friend and my son as well...escaping the hot summer.but just for some days. so, do you want to live in Avila, at some time? or do some tourist-stuff with your ruina? The castle...this new place offers me a lot more working space and freedom as well...the royal thing wasn't my piece of cake anyways.

hey, nice hearing from you...enemy ground....had all of that with the annual liberation day in holland begin of may...and yes indeed, Charleroi is surely the belgian if not european shithole...in the early nineties I drove there several times to go training in belgians first big indoor climbing gym...but getting ash-plumbed is even worse , I guess. Life here is pretty much ok, a lot of work as usual, but that is a good one these days, I suppose...tonight and tomorrow the concert highlights of this year, Joanna Newsom and CocoRosie...looking out for these ones ....coming to spain is somewhat far away, but we(family) are planning a summertrip to your country, not the best time to go, concerning heat...but I have to go :) maybe only tot the pyrenees, we will see. so, have a nice weekend to come and so long___chris

the oddest places...think you're right, travelling a lot lately, but all for work...hope I can travel for travel sometime again...yes...in Rotterdam it was a climbing-rock...nature-like feature of a great boulder..situated in a park,nice place to work..yet very unhealthy work..polyesther and stuff, but at least it was outside,so hopefully no harm done...speaking of odd places..next february I have to install an Ice-climbing wall in Jeddar..Saudi-Arabia ;) .... ruina in andalucia...si..bought it in better times..was still married then....but now , after 5 years , it is still a ruina...with andalucia-law changed 2 years ago, saying that I cannot reformar...now I have to build an old roof (it has none now) to get an local architect convinced that it is old..so he will state that my ruina has got a roof and so it is possible to reformar el techo...kind of stupid...but that is the way it has to be..it has been told. let's see how this will end up. up to now...saludos de belgica__chris

Liege is an excellent choice...know a castle down there.... :) and, maybe you are right about these countries...but in the end its always that grass thing..greener on the other side. here its so unbelievable green at the moment, but summer will go and 6month of swamp will fill all my mind...so spain maybe is a better choice..at least in the winter ....and in the right places.

ok,found the problem...did you get an notification mail or something which informed you? so, I have not... and you know, although I live in Belgium...i've downloaded my lastfm-software from a german (linux)-site , and i am running my profil on german(don't know wether that helps a lot)...so if you have received an e-mail something and I have not, you know what to do...delete your last fm software...download new one from lastfm.de, make yourself a new profil and , hopefully... you will listen to that radio again... and doom up to me as a new friend :)
