You have a Boris/Heap rip? Can you share? Saves me the trouble of doing a vinyl rip of it...

found out Roky Erickson is going to be playing at that Black Angels show, this alone makes it worth it.

Right on, I feel the same way, I just haven't been to a show in a while and I figure they're alright so... I saw Acid Mothers Temple like three years ago and they were incredible. A lot of energy, Kawabata was swinging the guitar over his head, it was nuts. This really great band called Over Gain Optimal Death opened for them, but I think they're defunct now. Really wish I'd grabbed their cassette while I had the chance.

Although Acid Mothers Temple are coming through Michigan in April, so I'm really looking forward to that.

Truth be told, I don't listen to them that much, man. Haha. I just need to go to a show, Michigan isn't the best state to live in for live music. The last show I went to was in October to see Saint Vitus. I like Black Angels enough see them play, but they're not even a favorite. The last album I heard by them was Directions to see a Ghost.

Your seen live list is awesome. I envy you a lot. bands like Merzbow, boris, melvins or 65daysofstatic never come to Argentina. :( Greetings, nice charts.

so hey man, I was looking at Melvinmania and I saw a still from what I assume is an old interview, looked like it could've been from '91 or '92. Anyway, it's just Dale and Buzz and the video caption is "It's just ridiculousness. Pure ridiculousness." Do you have a link to that interview? The only older interviews I ever come up with on YouTube are from '94 or '00.

Yep, that's them. Mastodon were really good, it was in like 2010, I think. I was about 13 anyway. It was not long after Crack the Skye was released so they played the full album which was really cool. But I didn't know them all that well at the time. Now I love that album so much.

hi. just wanted to mention that 'music for children" can be recommended also to newcomers for John Zorn IMHO because it covers much of different projects in one album and - imho again - it's pretty good. BUT i think better for people to start with Naked City or Painkiller + Masada or Filmworks to be more impressed. i didn't wanted to shout in JZ page so i decided to write here, sorry.

I don't know, man. I just figured that something rooted in black metal wouldn't really hit you. But, that just goes to show that you shouldn't presume! I had a listen to the new album, good stuff man. I really like the sounds you come up with. I don't know if you can say it about music but it feels like it has a narrative. Uni life is good, and Bath is really, really nice. You'll have to come and visit sometime. Where are you living now? Erm, I went to see Devin Townsend in novemeber and also Damnation Festival (Electric Wizard headlined which was pretty damn good). Then I saw Junius, Alcest and Katatonia in Dececember. Nothing much on the cards at the moment, i'm having to go easy with money! How about you?

Hey man! How's it going? How'd your gig go? I've yet to listen to your new album but I think I'll give it a whirl soon!!!! Alcest? How're you finding them? I wouldn't have thought it your cup of tea?

Yeah, Masada is pretty good.. I've been listening to Zorn for about 4 years and I haven't heard everything yet! I wish I could see Moonchild live, Dunn is a really amazing guy.. I met him, Dale and Buzz at a Melvins Lite show!

Hey dood, I saw your post on the Ghost page. Lamarabirabi is good and so is Snuffbox Immanence. The latter is more mellow and acoustic-y and the former has more distortion/Kurihara solos. Also, Second Time Around is worth checking out if you can find it. That was my intro album years ago, but I think it's totally out of print. With that being said, you can probably find it online and download it guilt free.
