I mainly play the girls Gainsbourg wrote for and the ads at the end of the last CD in the Gainsbourg Forever box. You should play more Polnareff. The stuff he did between 66 and 68 is flawless.

King Crimson. Led Zeppelin were very good too, as were Pink Floyd. And Captain Beefheart and His Magic Band.

I'm trying to think who the best person is live. The Strokes were very energetic. Sofia Essaidi was impressive. I thought it was a track at first and not her real voice. But she was good live. I also have seen David Rawlings the guitarist play with Gillian Welch several times and he is impressive. I'm hoping to see a bunch more people when I'm in France so I can come up with a definite answer.

The Rolling Stones, Bigger Bang tour. Or possibly The Who, same year (2007). it's hard to pick, really. Best performance on the other hand is by the Norwegian band Kaizers Orchestra :) I've seen pretty much all of my favorite artists live, all I need now to complete the list (for now) is R. Kelly and Håkan Hellström! What is yours?

Hello! C'était la 2ème fois que je voyais Micah P Hinson en l'espace de quelques mois. la première fois au café de la danse et là à la flèche d'or. Le concert de cette semaine n'avait rien à voir avec le précédent. J'ai adoré les deux, mais là il y avait une toute autre ambiance. Il présentait l'album qui vient de sortir lundi dernier "micah p hinson and the pioneer saboteurs", tout en prenant garde de meler d'anciennes chansons. C'est drôle il nous a dit qu'il était vraiment "fucked up" cet album, je l'écoute en ce moment et ça va ouais, ha. Enfin, il était complètement à l'arrache (réaccordait sa guitare toutes les deux secondes, se gourait dans les paroles, les accords), mais tout en étant néanmoins très sérieux et grave dans ses interprétations. Il nous a vraiment fait rire. There you go ! Tu l'as vu ou il y a deux ans ? biz
