I only discovered them co's of an instrumental of Dr Mabuse in the John Hughes movie 'Some Kind Of Wonderful' I think they had a couple of minor hits in the UK.... All my mates loved them, but I don't suppose that means anything! :) I just bought the CD again recently co's it's been re-issued as a 2 disc Re-master ...and very good it is too.

Yup, since the self titled - Not since the Bogbean days though. I tried desperately to get my hands on a copy of that album but could never quite figure out how to. I haven't listened to the new album as much as I've been meaning to, I get stuck on Gin & Money, then after a few repeats I move on. Still love Shapeshifter the most.

You can always play last.fm radio stations instead of lala (which I'm on, but don't really use). As for me, I'm off to sunny Florida next week and I'll have my iPod and ~160gb of music to keep me company!

I was definitely bad with song names back in the CD days... i just knew songs by track #. But Thrasher especially stuck out for me becaue it's the first song I ever heard by Engineers. Heard it over on Indie Pop Rocks on somafm.com (Man, it's actually been a while since I checked out any of those somafm stations).

i was wondering what the "previously unreleased track" was. hey, speaking of "thrasher", that reminds me of The Engineers, who are coming out with an album next month. hey scott! hadn't heard about the chapterhouse reissues... is it the same as the original with some xtra tracks? i have whirlpool, blood music, and the rownderbout 2-disc comp... i think i might be covered. i remember being dissappointed when i first got whirlpool (uh... some 18 years ago? jesus!)... i attribute it to robin guthrie's production. too wishy washy. like there's a great version of 'something more' that's really different from the album version. i think their live performances had much more of an edge. (tho i never saw them)
