You took a while to get back to me, but I took even longer getting back to you! Well, I have a good reason though, my good friend from England visited me and spent 2 and a half weeks here. I just took him to the airport a few days ago. So I haven't had much time to listen to music or get back to people at all. Sucks that you missed Cjesthe, but I'm sure you'll have a chance to see them again. And I really hate when people talk over the music at a live show, it pisses me off, why are they even there? So do you have any more good shows coming up in the near future?

I finally listened to that Pensées Nocturnes debut album you were talking about a couple days ago. I loved the neoclassical parts, so much so that I was annoyed when they changed to black metal! Definitely a band I'll keep listening to though. So how was your Csejthe/Sombres Forêt show?

Local hip-hop? Sounds like something that happens all the time here. Of course I hate hip-hop! I would chop off my right arm to see a Sombres Forets/Csejthe show, that's going to be incredible. Personally, I found the Gris debut to be over rated, good , sure, but not mindblowing. A lot of lesser known bands have put out better debuts in that subgenre than Gris did. But they still interest me, so if the new one is worth checking out, I will check it out. I do love SF and Monarque, among other Quebecois bands. I'll soon order the new ones from both of those...Surprisingly I have never listened to Pensées Nocturnes before, but believe it or not it's on Spotify, so I'll rectify that problem in the near future. I do know a lot about them. ...That Forteresse song you linked for me is terrific. Much better than the album I know.

I coldn't find any info on a Sombres Forêts yesterday, are you talking about the gig on July 26? With Csejthe of all bands, I love those guys too. Well it looks like you finally got your CD's in the mail, how are they?...This Monarque track you sent me fucking rips. Sounds a lot like...Monarque! I'm only familiar with one Forteresse album, Par Hauts Bois et Vastes Plaines. I think it's ok, a bit boring at times, though I really like ambient black metal at its best. Do they have anything better than that one?

Nope, I haven't heard the new ones from Gris, SF or Monarque yet. It's on my to do list .I particularly want to hear the Monarque, they're my favorite of the three. I've been reacquainting myself with their last two which I do have , and they're both fantastic. Hopefully your CD order arrives soon!...Yeah, I too listen to a ton of music that doesn't pop up on last.fm so I know what you mean.

Ouin ben c'est excellent Rodrigo y Gabriela ! J'ai écouté les albums "Re-Foc" et l'éponyme qui est de loin supérieur à l'autre. Et la version d'Orion est tellement ÉNORME !!! Je vois que tu as mis pas mal de p'tits cœurs et je sens que je vais en faire autant lors d'une prochaine écoute, haha ! Je suis un peu pris au dépourvu car je ne m'attendais pas du tout à ça alors un gros merci ! :) Sinon la technique de frapper la caisse de la guitare ça s'appelle le "golpe" (littéralement "coup" en espagnol) et ça vient des techniques de flamenco. ^^ Il y a plusieurs type de golpe et certains très difficiles à maîtriser. You're talking about the classic Norwegian stuff? My favorite band has always been Darkthrone, so I'd go with Under a Funeral Moon from them. Immortal's Pure Holocaust, and Emperor's Nightside Eclipse. There's just too many great album s to mention! A little more pagan black metal will be Ulver's Bergtatt and Kampfar's Fra Underverdeden.
