Why even bother posting in the last.fm threads if you don't enjoy talking with the people who do post there? It's a great place to hear recs from a more human source than simply droning Scaruffi or RYM charts, plus fun banter.

I can't honestly get the motivation to look into new artists to listen to all that often. I usually just end up looking into albums by artists I like that I hadn't heard yet. Not to mention lastfm artist counts hardly matter considering how many artists everyone has with <5 scrobs.
