Well, I don't know, they also had Mike from TDWP do vocals on the album and they toured with them too. Yeah, I went to the ADTR/TDWP tour and I was surprised at how many people were there for ADTR and not TDWP, a lot of people left after ADTR's set.

DL reminds me of Tom from ADTR. He just didn't really fit in. And the whole grills and spitting out water every two seconds is annoying as hell. Yeah, I like some of their lyrics because they're super aggressive and in your face, but at times they're cheesy as hell. I definitely think TAS and ADTR should tour together.

The wigger in the band annoys the shit out of me. Yeah, I was watching some of their live videos, Vincent seems like an awesome dude who tells it like it is. And some of the lyrics are pretty awesome as well. I guess they're kind of cheesy, but so are a lot of bands that I listen to.

I'm beginning to enjoy The Acacia Strain. Fuck.

I think they tried too hard to come off as "brutal" or whatever. I feel like I've listened to this album already, and the lyrics are just dead awful, but that doesn't really matter for that genre.

If you're going to listen to low-tuned grooves, I'd suggest checking out some death metal, it's far better than than that stuff, in my opinion. (Lovin' me some Spawn of Possesion, The Faceless, Origin, and Hour of Penance currently) I totally agree with you on the whole "brutal" thing and how people take music too seriously, it's just a matter of what sounds good, but it's hard to get that through to a lot of people nowadays.
